I've gotno problem listening to controversial people (I love some work by inquisition, burzum, deathspell, etc) but once the actual music itself becomes affected that's when I pull out.

Very strong respect for choosing this song and band. La Famine does a lot to piss people off but despite some of the stunts he pulls he's one of the most fascinating musicians in bm in regards to his writing. It is hard to find bands aside from them that have similar sounding melodies, the closest are Baise Ma Hache and Autarcie but otherwise you really need to delve into older music like Jacques Brel or Edith Piaf to find anything with similar sound.
The song is the recitation of an old French poem and follows the verse pattern of that poem. That "I have" looks odd since it appears in a new line and looks like the start of a new idea but I think it actually relates to what came before it (the heart and the body I have). Nice to see this one up, musically there isn't much like it out there. Others seem to have done pretty well on filling in the context of the band

I disagree. Vocals are somewhat similiar, yes, but Burzum is much more about dense riffs. The guitar on this song is actually pretty lackluster. Good song despite it though.

J'avais Rêvé Du Nord is the true masterpiece of theirs. Despite their political views, which I find awful, the music itself is extremely extraordinary. Mixing such different music styles in a one song, from battle riffs with background burning iron barrels through beautiful acoustic folk solos with clean female vocals and cello, yet the song doesn’t seem to be torn, not boring, perfectly composed. Highly recommended.
La Condi Hu is also amazing from KPN, but also the beginning of Famine, Valfunde - Serenade De Verlaine is my favorite. It is so raw and pure, it gets to me every time i listen to it
