- Today's vlog will be me looking at some of the best places to visit in Lodz, Poland. I will be exploring different parts of the city of Lodz to see if Lodz is really the ugliest city in Poland. In this Poland travel vlog I go to the famous Piotrkowska street(Ulica Piotrkowska), eat polish doughnuts(Paczki), visit the famous Lodz Manufaktura and go to some tourist attractions around Lodz such as Park Staromiejski and Park Moniuszko.

Festival of Lights is the most amazing weekend you can have in Łodz. If you ever come to see it, you be amazed. Also there are better parks then the ugliest park in Lodz. Try to see some historical sites, cotton museum, undergrounds under Plac Wolnosci, Planetarium, Zoo.
As an American living in Lodz for 7 years I can see that you did some homework and gave a pretty honest view. Since you did this Lodz celebrated 600 years of existance. More restoration is all around the city. The parks routinely are not mowed and that took me a while to get used to. There are more tourists and Piotrkowska street is flourishing! Being not perfect makes Lodz a very interesting place to live or just to visit!

Łódź reminds me of Detroit. Some good and some bad but overall it's a great city. I think it's great that you visit places not on the tourist list of places to visit. Like your new hair cut. Cheers from California!

after the war, it was decided to locate the Polish Film School in Łódź, and thanks to this, Łódź became the setting of many Polish films. So it's a bit like having Hollywood right in Detroit

Manufaktura is boring but the rest of Stare Bałuty, Stare Polesie or Śródmieście makes a great walking tour 🙂

@@RileyWilson98 I spent 14 years in Gdynia but I missed Łódź. Łódź is where I feel at home and also, after Gdynia, you appreciate the size. Living in the centre of Gdynia after a few years you can't discover any new paths or sights. I hope somebody has mentioned Działki Leśne to you - the forest is really impressive there, it's easy to lose your way. Gdynia is located between the sea and Nadmorski Park Krajobrazowy - people usually know about the beach and the city whereas Gdynia forests are really incredible.

Łódź is not the ugliest city, people who are telling you this are lying.
They don't know how that city went.
It's the most capitalist city in Poland.
Every buildings that looks bad is the result of people from Cracow, they don't care about renovating they want to ruin buildings.
They ruined it.
And to add up this, it has been confirmed abiut public transportation, a chairman of ZDiT, who's deciding what to do or not, is from Cracow, he wants to be sure that public transportation in this city will get destroyed and removed in favor of Cracow, there is ongoing disagreement between MPK Łódź and ZDiT.
If you really want not to see this city falling, DON'T GO TO CRACOW.
Less tourists and people will force them to stop destroying cities in their favor and finally starting to rebuild those who are the victim of Cracow actions.

well, I believe Łódź is THE most beautiful place in the world but you need to see it through the eyes of someone who loves it to see its unique beauty as sometimes it isn't immediately obvious. thank you for the video, it's good to learn what somebody from Down Under thinks about the most beautiful city of them all 💛❤🛶😍👊
