The poster presents a rather unusual aria that has not been recorded very often over the years, but a century or more ago, it was a popular recital piece, one that attendees at Ellen Beach Yaw’s recitals loved to hear. An opera friend sent it to me many years ago. He lived in London so I suspect he may have recorded it himself at the recital, but I can’t recall for sure.
