I'm pretty sure I was at this gig. If I'm not mistaken it was being live streamed in Japan or something like that. If anyone knows about that London gig they streamed in Japan please let me know. I'd love to see the whole recorded concert. I know it was in London and they were playing music from Soft Bulletin (either just before it was released or after).
There's a channel I subscribed to earlier this year called "TheSatelliteHead" and they have a bunch of full FLips gigs posted up there. They have the entirety of this show uploaded for you to check out! More about this gig: This was indeed streamed in Japan, for their music channel originally called "ViewSic" (now called "Music On! TV"), I think this specific show was a free matinée done at like 1-2 in the afternoon, which would make it 10-11pm in Tokyo. The stream was done in anticipation for the Lips to come to that side of the world which they did a month or two later from the time of this show.
@TheExileonmainstreet Yeah this was between the time Ronald left and Kliph joined. They prerecorded Steven playing drums and played along with the video so he could take over guitar duties. He's an amazing musician. I saw them once when Ronald was still in the band, and Steven was playing drums and keyboards at the same time on some songs. It was incredible.
This is my favorite Lips performance. Such an emotional roller coaster of a song. Yet it doesnt even say much.
This may be my favorite live video from them... totally one of my favorite songs by them.
The Greatest Riff.
This is PEEEERRRRRRRFFFECT. SO goooood. Amazing performace. Great sound quality and camera work. Thanks for this.

This is definitely one of the Lips' best. Fuckin' rad.

Love this song but never realized how much it's very much Hotel California chords at 4:00❤️🔥👄
God I love Steven Drozd
Slow Nerve Action
lvin the nun and fake blood
A Dog That She Called Paul
Thought that was Sam Rockwell on guitar for a sec haha
You must find the world a difficult place to live in.
Any chance you could upload the full gig please? I saw them at a different date on the same UK tour :)
Is that Steven on guitar? Or is he playing drums? Or both of them? I think he can actually do it
Wrong and wrong, steven played drums live until 99 and Kliph got fired a long time ago
Paul is gone.
Very sad 😔
@sydbarrett5 I agree. He's so talented and versatile. Things just seem to come out of him with no effort
Blest
I have heard Wayne talk about where the idea of the blood came from, but I still think it's in bad taste.
