The female Russian cavalry trooper is based on the real life Nadezhda Durova, who was served as a cavalry officer while disguised as a man. She would be decorated for heroism and write a book about time as a cavalry officer during the Napoleonic wars.
Thanks for a useful unboing. It is helpful to have that level of detail on the figures , as well as the reminder as to which figures could be used for other nations. Thanks.
Between the grenadier, the female light cavalry officer and the occultist, the russian set looks awesome. Not usually a fan of the Russians in Napoleonics.
I was wondering how they planned to release the new troop types. Looks like I'm going to have to start an Austrian unit! Great unboxing! Thank you for giving TSB the attention it deserves! ❤
This is my surprise of this year, when a colleague told me about it I was very skeptical, Napoleonic wars, old style metal models, this is something not for me I thought. I continued to play my modern games. Until one day as I started reading more about it. My thoughts revolved around the Hunt pc game, the Van Helsing movies, Brotherhood of Wolves, etc. I bought a band of English, painted, played, and became fascinated. This game is what I was looking for, the father of a young 2 year old child found something that takes an hour to play, is easy on the rules and above all has tons of horror and fantasy atmosphere. I recommend the core, Carpathian, now I'm waiting for Canada myself. In the meantime, I play and collect a base of monsters for scenarios. Silver bayonet surprise on the gaming scene, for me top battle games.
The Australians do look nice. But I'll go for the 1st French set as an enemy force for my British. Holding thumbs for the prize, I'd love a set of the physical books.
Another exceptional unboxing video! I believe the boots on the Austrian cavalry figure are called "Hungarian" style. Very popular in the period amongst all countries for fashion for light cavalry men. The Austrians have that unique look about them which makes them stand out as Austrians. Really dig the Russian set, especially having the grenadier in the collection...very iconic for the Russians. I really like all the cool non-military figures with the variety of hats and clothing...they definitely look the part. I'm with you, I also enjoy thee Russian set. What Russian set do you like best?
@@gerrymccabe4738 Agree! I'm ready to pull the trigger to buy the 2nd Russian unit set...and really enjoy watching your game play video with those figures.
this could be used as forces in poland too :D as Poland was devided by germany, astro-hungarian and russian empire at that times - and you could face Leshen :D

Lots of great details on these sculpts - really characterful

North Star metals are beautiful. I have a load of their muskets and tomahawks stuff. Really excellent in a world of plastic and resin.
So cool - all of the official models have been winners.

Love the coachman design! Great models for a fantastic game full of gothic horror atmosphere!
This game just has a cool concept. I watched one play of it and now I need this game.
My friends and I have just started to get into this! We’re playing our first game at the weekend!
Excited to see new expansions coming for this game.
North Star always seems to make great figures
There is something hellboyish about these minis
Really like this release, although I wish the woodsman, coachman and forester were in their own pack
Looks like a bit of fun for a Saturday night's gaming session.
I can’t get enough of the silver bayonet, and I can’t wait for the Egypt expansion to come out mummy’s
These minis look fantastic. I need to check this game out

More fantastic figures.
Great video. Great minis. Still need to get my first warband together.

I haven't used metal minis in a long while, may be time to return.

All lovely stuff!
Very cool models in this.
I play French and Russians so the Austrian box might be a buy. The new figs are awesome.
I really like the Russian squad, especially the shaman, such an imaginative sculpt.
I had no idea Northstar had a Silver Bayonet range. One to check out there me thinks.
Pretty cool models.
