- Amid the sand dunes of the Sharjah desert on 5 April 1997, Pramukh Swami Maharaj prayed for and envisioned a mandir to be built in the UAE that would bring people of different faiths, cultures and backgrounds together. Some 27 years later, this glorious divine vision was fulfilled by Mahant Swami Maharaj on 14 February 2024 as he inaugurated the BAPS Hindu Mandir in Abu Dhabi.
