Sammit really enjoying these "AMERICA" vids and great to see you and Spoon reunited and would really like to see some Sammit's S13 build content such a sick car great work 👍
Check the front driveshaft travel on the slip joint to make sure it isnt bottoming out at full compression, remove a leaf from the leaf packs, its far too stiff. And add a decent set of shock absorbers. Thats really all it needs besides the windows and holes in the floor fixed.
the shackles are supposed to be on the back side of the axle exactly how they are but the angle iron is not supposed to be there. also a panhard bar is to be used with 4 linked suspenion to keep the axle centered, you dont want to one on a leaf spring suspension 19:48
You need an anti wrap bar, you also need the spring hanger to be closer to vertical so when the spring flattens on compression, the hanger has enough movement backwards. Don't put a panhard rod on, leaf springs are their own lateral support.
Take that fan off and put an electric one on the red sr. The off road Tahoe Cadillac needs some air out of the tires for trail riding also, keep them bouncing. Also solid mount the insides of the leafs like you were saying. Shackles in front and rear only, not both sides of the leaf. Really surprised there wasn't more problems with driving it the way it was cobbled together and didn't kill someone. Should put a few hoops inside for when it gets rolled also. 👍👍
Having leaf spring suspension you still need to have shock absorbers the leaf springs act as a spring but they have no dampening if you put shocks on it would limit the bounce and greatly approve the overall feel and ride quality of the setup
Panhard bars can cause it to push left or right depending on how much travel you have and length of the bar/angle etc its just travels an arc. If the bars fairly flat with not alot of travel there is not much side to side movement. the watts link was designed to remedy this problem. But yes the front should 100% have a trackbar/panhard bar. you dont see them too often in the rear on a 4x4 more on 2wd sports cars Google "k10 4x4 front suspension" or "k5 blazer front suspension" thats basically what you have on that tahoe. Almost all ford chevy and dodge trucks used this set up from the 40s until the early 90s
Leave the rear leaf springs where they are, wider mounting makes less body roll!! It doesnt matter that the front springs are closer together, that's so you can turn the tires haha.
Chris earned himself another "THAT'S THE INTAKE SIDE YOU IDIOT!!!!" after messing up the coolant line on LITERALLY the intake side under the intake manifold.
Having leaf spring suspension you still need to have shock absorbers the leaf springs act as a spring but they have no dampening if you put shocks on it would limit the bounce and greatly approve the ride quality also a pan hard bar is only necessary on a 3 link suspension setup traction bars or trac bars they only really eliminate axle rock as in pinion angles on the rear axle which can help many things but as far as the suspension rocking or moving over I think it’s just a lack of structural integrity and also natural travel of the leafs as they are not really in a correct spot 😂 hope this helps
I remember the main reason you were thinking of just selling it was because you didn’t feel with it because it was left hand drive. So just pay for the resto to Rudnik’s level. And trade it for the red hatch? Keys for keys
I know it’s all fun and games. But plz put a lil cage in there atleast a hoop and halo to protect the driver. If he gets up on them cars and it flips it could smash the top in. It seems crazy but we do big trucks down here and I’ve seen it before.
Tbh, I'm a big Oakes guy, and since Spoon got on the channel, I became even a Bigger Oakes guy (Dutch tallness)... I really want a Spoon Masterclass, this guy is legend!
Welcome to America, just remember my offer. I am in MA and we have a tuning shop if you need access to a 4wd dyno make sure you hit me up. Dynotech tuning, Im the head tech over there so feel free to let me know if you need a dyno spot.
Shackles on the frame is a common true offroad thing, that rig is strictly mud. But yall are wrong about the leaf spring mount. And i dont want to get into the panhard and trac bar mounts..... just drive that thing, yall dont know offroad
(Hee. Btw, if something like that truck won't quite fit in somewhere, you can get a number of inches by airing down those huge tires a few inches' worth. :) )
Sam i think k u missing out on a whole market in u.s.a get that car running and hit some events out here. Chris is cool with the clean culture guys. Which you seen this week. They just built Kai cenat also agents wants to learn to drift and hit Japan that might open door for u and Chris brother
What's wrong with the one he already has that he refuses to make a decent car because he doesn't want to spend money? This car would just end being another burden on rudniks wallet like the other one
I'm guessing Sam doesn't jump batteries often in the cold? You gotta give it a little bit once it's connected before you try, especially if the battery's dead-dead and it's completely brick outside. I think I might even have the same Noco jumper they're using. Panhard bars are typically used for drag racing iirc, though they might also have a place in autox/road racing. I can't recall 100%, but panhards were definitely on most drag suspension short lists for old school muscle. God I hate leaf springs...

I hope you put an air tag or two in this car, an S13 is worth what $10k or more & it's just sitting out back of jimmys place.
Pretty sure Jimmy has security cameras after his car trailer got stolen and never found.
Yes, definitely locked that shit up. People don’t care if there’s cameras it’s only a movie of your shit getting taken.
An completely bare s13 shell with no suspension looking like Swiss cheese is worth $3-5k nowadays
@@richgwozdz8580 just because people are asking that doesn't mean they're getting it.
@nickkelleher413 whatever you bucko 😂

7:15 I haven't watched Jimmy in years, his collection is nuts
in my opinion he has one of the best collections on yt
Oh yeah another Sammit video
That car's pretty damn mint honestly. Whether you shred with it or fix it up and sell it, the ROI is definitely there!
please change the coolant hose and thermostat
Get Jimmy to do a fresh tune and go out ripping with the boys before you leave

WITH MY JAPANESE WIFE, is what you should have added to the title lol
Cold start and revs it up to like 2k 👌🏽
Yes we need some sammit snowboarding content like the old days
I freakin love the Rudnik/Sammit collabs. Great vibes and always entertaining.
So weird seeing a fresh upload at a reasonable aus time 😂
i hope you do your due diligence and have your lab coats on when the experiments begin.

WOOOOOOO SAMMI
Wow it's really been 3 years feels like yesterday when I watched you get this.
Maaaan what is a dreamcar for most is just sitting out there 😭😂 Do something with it sam ❤
Also the red 280 🙌🔥🔥🔥
I believe a good upgrade is using long rear Springs in the front that way you get a smoother ride and probably better for jumping
Go to your local steel shop & stop by a trailer repair shop for cheap hangers & leaf spring parts bushings etc
Jimmy needs to get some trailer locks!!

Ruddy got it going 😎🤙
great vid, you should force Rudnik to record in 2k resolution lol
It needs shocks also. Make it ride smoother.
I honestly think you shouldn't sell it and instead keep it as a street and track car
2 videos in less than 24 hours?! Sweet!!
Aussie Aussie Aussie. Doing us proud! Nissan Skyline GTR R33 4eva. 👍✌️🤘🇦🇺
Don't forget, Jimmy took your rear bash bar for his Purple S13.
You can run the shackles back wards like that makes for a less bouncy ride, but the hole thing is hack wrong
MASTER BOGAN!!!!!!!! HAHAHAHAHA
Check the frame very well! They are common for rotted frames
Like both channels. But tge dirt truck is balls content. But nice to see you having fun.
Spoon had me laughing so hard “I’ve been around them long enough to know SR’s are shit” 😂😂
caint wait for the snowboard video man one of my dream to ride japan pow ❤
Now Jimmy needs to drop his video of putting panels on the pro car, looks so good
S/O to my friend Reneh for building that car haha. He did well by that sr man crazy to see a TH-camr has it all the way across the country
You got me with the Thumbnail, saw you at Jimmys shop
Axle wrap broke the front drive shaft that's why they but the angle iron to limit the lefts from wrapping

Pleaseeee do a Merica S13 build and Drift Event when finished SAMMIT ❤❤❤

Get rid of the leaf springs and do ORI's
NO LEAFS! GO COILS ON ALL CORNERS!
If you add swaybars on the escalade would that help?

Definitely dont wanna jump that tahoe. Especially sitting that high its gonna break shit everytime it lands. Theyre so heavy
Jimmy has not shown the pro car with the panels on it fully yet only Patreon has gotten one picture from the back rear angle
Dude have jimmy do a refresh on the ol 13. So when you come back to the states, turn key drift car
