Thanks for sharing another Tunisian traditional food, "Chorbra" ....looks yummy. That restaurant is very clean, well arranged and the wall tiles are lovely. Looking forward to more food videos. Thanks again and have a wonderful weekend.
The restaurant looks quite the opposite lol dirty, messy and tiles are ugly. hope it s not because they re poor. Who opens such places anyways so scaary
I am glad that you have finally found the kind of restaurants that serve real tunisian dishes and not just fast food. Tunisians eat chorba every day in Ramadhan to break the fast and as a first dish. It is gentler on the stomach than your typical couscous. There is at least another type of chorba called, chorba freak, and please don't freak out, it is called so to refer to the noodles it is made of. Most probably, it is spelled frick. Final note, tunisians eat a lot, and I mean a lot of bread. We even eat couscous and pasta with bread 😮
we call this chorba "lsen asfour" which translates to "bird's tongue" soup or in frensh soupe "langues d'oiseau", because of it's shape, it looks like a small bird's tongue. we have an other chorba called chorba frik or tchich, you should try it too, very delicious.
Personally, I eat it lablabi-style, I cut some of the bread and put it in the bowl to absorb the sauce. Shorba comes from arabic verb sharaba which means to drink referring to the liquid nature of this dish. I don't know if some people do literally drink it straight from the bowl.
I would eat the heck out of that shorba and bread! Absolutely my kind of meal!❤ … or I might just skip it and eat the desert! Some kind of pain de chocolat with a filling? Looks scrumptious!
@@yvesthesleeveVery interesting! I thought the family that travelled together would naturally eat together? Are they having problems eating out in Tunisa? Hope all is well.

India has 'shorba' which is also a soup. Interesting how different cultures share names for similar dishes.
This is very interesting indeed, shorba seems to be part in many cultures and problably connected

Avoid showing people's faces in your videos, so as not to expose yourself to judicial prosecution, because Tunisian law protects personal information.
What makes you think that? I have researched the law in Tunisia and it is legal to film the people here.
Liar ! you can film what you want in Tunisia ! no law Prevents that.
@@yvesthesleeve Tunisian law punishes those who publish pictures of people without their permission. Research carefully or consult a lawyer

Fahren Sie nach Jerba , Kelibia, Hawaria, Mahdia, Tabarka... was machen Sie denn in Sfax ?!! Ist langweilig dort.
Nein, Sfax ist interessant, es ist nicht touristisch, wir gehen bald nach Tunis, leider werden die Videos zu wenig geschaut, also müssen wir weiter.
