I’m curious, and I’m not being a troll because I think she’s one of the most legitimately talented (you know - naturally gifted, hard working, strong, unique, intelligent) music artists ever, but why did/does she always say “po-po-po-poker face po-puh-puh-f-k her face”? I thought it was cool song but for that demeaning line she sneaks in. Is there something behind why she says it??
The song is about her thinking about women while sleeping with a man but not letting him know because he doesn't like it. In other performances she also sings "I'm fucking her face" so it's basically just a reference to how she's fantasizing about having sex with a woman while pretending to be into the guy

ah no the show is a visual representation of how she broke out of pain and trauma! so the first few acts are about hows trapped in her mind and then towards the end its about her rebirth and how she’s now free! its an incredibly beautiful and moving show
