- La Puebla, Murcia, a small village near Cartagena? It's a quiet, rural area with agricultural roots, but are you saying it feels like a "dead" village-perhaps due to depopulation, abandoned houses, or a lack of activity? is a (small town) more like a hamlet a few kilometres inland from the western shore of the Mar Menor, in the north-eastern corner of the Cartagena Murcia and just a few kilometres from the town of Los Alcázares.
Despite its location, close to some of the largest and busiest resorts of the Costa Cálida, the airport of San Javier and the numerous golf courses which have been built over the last couple of decades, La Puebla has been
rather left behind in terms of tourist development.
As a result, part a genuine agricultural village, specializing in the cultivation of leaf vegetables and potatoes: the latter are celebrated every year in late May of early June on “Potato Day”, an event which heralds the beginning of the annual fiestas!
These fiestas are theoretically held in honour of the : Parroquia Sagrado Corazón de Jesús, The main parish church of La Puebla is the most important currently used religious building in the Lentiscar area of the municipality of Cartagena, but it has had a relatively short history.

Hot everywhere in the summer but yes inland murcia can be few more degrees more 😅
Outskirts of Torrevieja got the best of both worlds, countryside and city 5 minutes away

Gave it a go most of the Brit expats in our village have left now we sold up two years ago never again 🤔☹️☹️☹️. 😎😎😎
