I genuinely think he could’ve been the second fastest ever (atleast in the 100m) had he been a bit more constant, he’s genuinely ran some insane races at times, that 9.74 he ran he slowed down at the end aswell
His form and technique is unparalleled, likely the best ever. A little shame about the mental aspect but I think he's an introvert for a Jamaican and probably had a little performance anxiety. But if you know, you know he is probably the 2nd best sprinter of all time and, I think, the purest of all. Has an incredible amount of sub-10s times, maybe the most. The final leg in one of the 4x100m in the Olympics (maybe 2008) where Bolt ran third (and ran behind him to finish ahead of some of the other nations) was a highlight.
Powell was one of the best ever. But his major weakness was he often cracked mentally in big races. When he would run against Bolt, Blake or Gatlin he often tried too hard & tied up. If he would have relaxed like he did here he would have won more often.
