I tried the t-design9 mount in my 991.2 GT3 at my last track event and I was struggling to get the GPS to work plus it was vibrating like crazing down the back straight at VIR. It eventually wiggled lose and tipped out of the console. I have picked up the Anima Motorsports mount with a very short arm to the Garmin Cage. We will see how it does at my next event. So far the most reliable location for my Catalyst is low in the passenger side windshield with a suction cup mount in the corner. However some passengers have expressed concern if an airbag were to deploy. So I don't run the garmin with passengers when I have it in that location.

Barry has had issues as well, mine hasn't given me any grief so I've stuck with it. I like your solution, so long as i wasn't a passenger. :)
