Your daughter seems to be a wonderful person. Open for the love and happiness Aurora is spreading all around the globe. Nobody is for everyone..not even Aurora. I'm 66 years young and i'm very happy to have discovered Aurora. She makes my heart sing. Cheers from a finn in Sweden.

So nice that you keep trying to understand when she is so important for your daughter. Auroras music is there to open your heart, so try to listen with your heart not your head. And Aurora is a feminine force with a strong feminine word view. Happy Youle from Bergen Norway

You're the first youtuber I have seen who do not fall in love with Aurora, and that's totally fine! Everyone has their own taste in music.

Aurora fans are called Warriors and Weirdos, she embraces the quirkeness in us all. She is unique and authentic, nothing pretentious or fake about her, it is quite refreshing to see that.

You seem a lovely man , but 99.9% of everyone who finds her are in love with her. So maybe the 'Strange is in you. lol
she refuses to wear any designers cloths, rarely puts on make up, has values far better than a lot of people on this planet, believes in world peace regardless who is killing each other, an eco warrior. I know , my god its a lot. The most genuine respectful loving caring engaging individual woman on the planet IMO . Watch her live concerts and see how she engages and listens to her audience. Just a beautiful soul inside and out. Im sorry you dont see it, i think its your loss

Well...everyone has their own personal taste 😁. I believe Aurora would enjoy your honesty and embrace your right to feel that way; She likes people to express themselves freely, and doesn't crave everyone to mindlessly worship her. You would probably have some good laughs together. You are still a nice man!
She is definitely post "hippyish" by nature. But I can assure you she never touches any other substances than the occasional beer, or glass of wine 😊

I just saw her friday, and the way she treats the audience is truly unique. She makes you feel seen. I was in the front row, wearing a pride hat at the concert, and she directly locked eyes with me during Queendom. It was such a small thing, but I FELT IT. Her fans are amazing too.

You probably have to free yourself from conceptual thinking to really understand what Aurora's performances means to many of her fans, including your daughter. Conceptual thinking reduces everything fantastic in life to words, labels and judgements so you can put people and other lifeforms into small mental boxes. You just reduced a very emotional performance to the words (parafrased) "hippies on drugs. That's a box-thinking you have to free yourself from if you want to share how your daughter feel. Aurora is about pure emotions, you cannot explain her using words if you already have put her in a small box based on how you are supposed to think as a man, as a religious person, as a person at your age or other forms of conditioning that limits how you experience life. There's more in life, much more. Go out in nature and watch trees, birds, flowers and the sky without naming everything. Transcend the box-thinking mind that limits your life by creating a distance to that part of you. Experience life without conceptual thinking. What emotions do you get when experiencing a tree as a a being without naming it for example Oak and put in the small Oak-box that your mind is satisfied with? Then try to experience Aurora's performances in the same way without putting her in a box. Can you see her joy, happiness and free spirit. Can you share those emotions with her? If your mind starts to analyse and judge again then just notice those thoughts and go back to the emotional experience you feel in your body when not thinking, which is how you transcend the conceptual mind to free yourself to experience much more in life.

Very true. You have to be open and empathic to feel Aurora's music. Its what separates her from the rest, she connects not only with her audience but understands her emotions and feels nature. With her poetic lyrics and amazing voice she is unique .

She also seems strange to me, but that seems to add to her charm and character.

Your videos gave me the impression that you are a most likely a person who felt the need to be "the adult in the room" during almost your entire life.
And to a certain extent I can relate to your point of view, because I grew up in an quite conservative and religious environment and in my youth (while I opposed practically all the viewpoints of my parents) I somewhat even internalized the motion, that a "real man" should surely care about the people around him while at the same time he had to avoid getting 'emotional', because having (and expressing) emotions are merely reserved to children and women.

Huge credit to you for trying to bond with your daughter through her interest.
I suggest you read through the lyrics before you listen. “I need to build some type of skin. My God, it’s a lot.” It might be her way of commenting on the state of world affairs now. Ukraine, Gaza, the American election, Yemen, climate change: it’s a lot. She is concerned with climate change and did a collaboration with Jacob Collier for Green Peace, and she is not afraid of stating political opinions.
On TH-cam there is an interview with her with English subtitles from the podcast Drivkraft, Driving force in Norwegian. That might be helpful in understanding her. At the Haik documentary also available at TH-cam with English subtitles she suggests that she might be at the end of the autism spectrum. It’s not a confirmation but her way of formulating the sentence leaves it open for that interpretation. She performed at a TV charity event for children with cancer and other children with severe illnesses and their families with KORK, the Norwegian Radio Orchestra in October. “Invisible wounds” (LIVE/NRK TV-aksjonen).
