I have not had any issues with heat after using for an exended period of time.

Yes for screen mirroring. But you could do USB to hdmi with the right type of cable on some phones that support video out as well
Netflix is not working anymore
download it directly from the google playstore instead of using the built in one that it comes shipped with, that should work no issues.
