Root canal treatment (RCT) is performed in cases where dental caries or fracture affect the nerve or dental pulp. This will cause the dental piece to be without pulp vitality, also the loss of the tooth will be avoided.
After the root canal treatment, the dentist may opt for a reconstruction with composite resin, Inlay, Onlay or a porcelain crown. Each case is evaluated by the specialist according to the complexity of the case.

Um trabalho magnífico que visa tratar o problema e evitar a lerda do Dente, mesmo com o grau de Dano gerado pela infecção. É uma pena que essas técnicas sejam pouco aplicadas nos consultórios. Pois sofro com estes problemas em meus dentes, e não consigo achar profissionais que apliquem tais técnicas 😢! Me gerando desgaste e custo por tratamentos com pouca eficácia. Mas o trabalho apresentado no vídeo é magnífico! É uma arte!!

@@kariellefowell nope! It was pretty smooth I got injections but dentist applied some numbness gel on my gums first so I wouldn’t feel the pain of injection.
Olhando o quanto isso é trabalhoso e alguns dentistas não são tão profissionais nem cuidadosos, às vezes acho que é melhor arrancar o dente e colocar um implante

I have similar cavity( as shon in this video) in my upper jar wisdom tooth. Dentist mentioned only possible treatment is removing the said tooth. Could you kindly let me know if having a side cavity like this in wisdom tooth make it difficult to be treated by a root canal treatment like the shown( i mean does the location of wisdom tooth and side in which cavity exist, can make root canal treatment/nerve filling immpossible).
Your dentist is correct because a wisdom tooth has little chance of root canal treatment due to poor access or limited working space. It corresponds to extract it

I just had my second session of Root Canal Today.
I was told I need a root canal and I’m so anxious about the whole thing. For some odd reason I think watching how it’s done will make me less nervous 😬 they said it’s painless compared to the pain I get every single night and I’m just trying to put that in my mind but it’s so hard when you have severe anxiety. Well my anxiety has led that cavity to turn into a root canal. 😢

Since the root canal tooth is already dead with all the nerves and blood vessels removed, how long would that dead tooth last after such restoration?
I have one tooth that had a root canal done and this took place like 17 years ago. I still have that tooth and no sign of issues with it as of yet.
