- In this episode, I detail all the filters in my system, what I sue each for, how they work, and how well they work. This is the first part in a 3-part series all about my pond's filtration.

Not expensive.... Over £1500!
Why don't you just build a bog filter? It seems like you're doing an awful lot of work mitigating something that could be easily handled by nitrifying bacteria.
The fact that you have algae is an indicator that whatever your system is simply not removing enough nitrogen from your pond and the algae is feeding off of it. You're never going to win this game until you can colonize enough surface area to have the bacteria eat it instead
