I feel that that's what's jazz is all about. Fun, innovation, groove, interaction, improvisation, fusion... Killer solo. You were on 🔥!
It actually doesn't sound outside of the realm of what some jazz guitarists would do, specially those that play fusion.
Now this is a good solo. Great phrasing and melodies. It eventually built up to the last shredding bits. Love it.

Dude- your phrasing and vocab are unrivaled. Sounds fantastic in all genres but I really like hearing you play jazz. Seems like it might be intimidating to follow you, but it should inspire. Would like to have heard what the trumpet player did. Next time have the horns do some hits to support solo rise. I’d like to hear you front your own organ trio. That would be cool.

It almost feels like a return of the roots in a way with rock coming from blues and blues being a standard form in jazz. Like your kid brother that goes off to find himself before coming back to be a part of the family.

@@AlexHutchingsMusic i just had to listen to it a few more times... yup.. you win best build up of a solo. you start off with that Mike Stern lumpy bebop, then move crescendo to Jazz fusion, then shred the fretboard . just perfect... and your jumping around. i can feel it. i got to practice more.. haha . Inspiring.
We were fortunate to get tickets as the venue was sold-out. Great atmosphere and a wonderful night.

Dexterity and proficiency are the name of the game here - this guy definitely knows his game.
I imagine that the title is a joke about the tapping at the end and that made me giggle. I honestly think this is what a good solo should be about. You got lost in the moment and came up with exciting and beautiful phrases and on top of that, played fluidly and with an amazing sound. This was absolutely mind-blowing. Hats off and keep having fun.
