Chris Crocker became a household name overnight after he released the viral video "Leave Britney Alone." World of Wonder documented his new found fame as he took a trip to Hollywood, California. This was a presentation reel in the hopes of becoming a television series back in 2007 "In Your Face."

Cara was the friend a lot of us needed back then. I resonated with her so much. She spoke about depression, being an outsider, being bullied, not finishing school. She was and still is so relateable, and open. She is the first and the most authentic youtuber who paved the way for everyone to share their passions and stories. A beautiful soul and a true legend.
Spoken like a true fan. Yes, and look what he did for people like Johnnyboyxo, for example. He gave him a blueprint for his life. Johnny made similar videos at first then sold songs on iTunes, etc.
I'm always amazed at how Chris resonated with people. I was at a cafe in Myrtle Beach, SC a few years ago, and I saw a waitress looking at her laptop because it was slow. I casually said, "That's cool. You get to watch Chris Crocker videos while at work," meaning TH-cam. She wasn't watching Chris at the time, but said, "I can't believe you mentioned Chris. Do you realize that I had a roommate in college who was OBSESSED with Chris Crocker." He touched more people around the globe than he ever suspected.

He was actually born 2 days before me lol, so I've always felt I connected to him in some ways just due to that. But even though most of our signs are the same (Sun in Sagittarius, Venus in Capricorn, Mercury in Sagittarius etc), his Moon and Ascendant are different than mine (his Moon is in Cancer, mine in Leo, and his Ascendant is in Gemini, mine in Libra), and those are 2 of the "biggies" in quickly summarizing a person's chart. It does explain his multiple-sided personality (Gemini) and also his deep reservoirs of compassion (Cancer), though!

M .Crandell I heard this was supposed to be like a 13 episode reality show about how Chris moves to LA with only 500$ & what his life is like out there. I think this was the time that Laguna Beach, The simple life, & all those other mtv & vh1 reality shows were coming out. They shot this show & then no one picked it up; so they stopped shooting & his show ended with hardly anyone ever seeing it.

Did they actually release this on TV? It was a very well done mini doc. Chris was going through a lot let alone gender identity. We aren’t where we should be with acceptance but I’m grateful for all the educational info and representation trans people are now being permitted.

So sad that Chris was literally the first TH-cam celebrity and literally opened the door for the countless TH-cam celebrities today to make money from making videos. It’s just sad TH-cam treated him like a stain on their site when really they can thank cris for the millions who heard of this “Britney boy” crying on this “TH-cam” thing and went and checked it out. I love this so much! I watched Chris Crocker’s videos during this time, and I’m sad I never got to see this mini documentary when I was younger. Considering it’s been about ten years, I would absolutely love to see a follow up mini documentary to learn more in depth about how chris has grown and learned over the last few years. I’m so thankful he didn’t stay in LA and get swollowed up by the darkness that exists in Hollywood. Chris Crocker is a true innovator with a pure soul. Love them so much 😘
