Hasport Mounts, We Install them !

  • This is Part 2 of the engine mount test.
    In part 1 we changed the Torque and rear mount to Hasport and kept the stock mounts.
    • Mugen Civic Si HASPORT...
    This test we replace all the mounts and change them to the full Hasport Billet mounts.
    When installed correctly, the results are surprising.

      Innovatave make them, been running them for years. They aren't nearly as nice as Hasport and the fitment takes work (trimming) but once in you never think about them again. I think mine are 75A-80A at the time they were a custom option. There is a cold idle vibration but other than that only a positive. I too window welded all the stock mounts before these were available and after a year they all broke loose from the metal except the lower drivers side on the frame rail which I still run as it isn't part of the kit.

      @@lcq4blackstar I read a bunch of very different opinions on the innovative mounts. From awesome to oh no.. right now all I have done is the lower driver side mount(3mww) and that alone made a big difference. Eventually I was going to do the rear trans mount and I figured given the lack of torque the engine makes I'd be fine. Especially since this is supposedly my "cheap" daily driver and dropping a couple hundred bucks on those innovative mounts defeats that IMO
      But good too hear from someone who's been running them..

    • @lcq4blackstar
      @lcq4blackstar 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@jamesborek8125 I'm sure you've come across my "how-to" on fitfreak.net on both filling the stock mounts with window weld and the innovative mounts installation/modifications to fit properly, the one that you have filled is the only one that didn't break loose from the mount in IDK 8 years? All the others I did only last about a year. The Innovative mounts are terrible as far as fitment but what are we GD3 owners going to do? It is the only option that I know of? Also I have the 10PSI Kraftwerks kit as well as a bunch of other mods so have to run them to control the engine/torque.

    Neutralizing motor mounts. Some procedures have you leave all the bolts that go through the mounts and roll the car forward and back to allow the motor to settle and not be torqued in the wrong position and then tighten them making sure not to pry the motor/trans in any direction.

    Loving those tests, such a big difference! Thank you for sharing this kind of stuff, makes me wana go and replace mine (the engine braking feels like a punch on the chest, I wonder how much that engine is moving). I got one question though, what about the front mount (50830-SVB-A01)? That one seems to be the most flexible of the mounts on those cars. Mine was filled with some type of silicone glass sealant to be rigid, loads and loads of vibration, I then replaced it with a new one (OEM spec), I couldn't even feel the clutch engaging because the car ran sooo much smoother.
