It's 1:26a.m this 4th day of July 2022, in Kampala, Uganda (E.Africa). I am in hospital waiting for my wife to give birth. Felt the leading to look for this song and I am now so encouraged. My wife just lost her mom and yet here I am challenged to give God all the praise, exalting him because He makes all things work together for the good. I am believing God for my wife to receive Strength to give birth in the midst of this contradiction of grief over losing her Mum yesterday and giving life to our 2nd born today. Let the Lord be exalted and magnified in our midst. LORD, I exalt thee, and I shall testify of your faithfulness.

The great and faithful God we serve has been very faithful, comforted my wife and gave her strength to give birth in the midst of the loss of her mother. We chose to exalt the Name of the LORD in the midst of the storm. Now, He has turned our mourning into dancing. I exalt thee oh LORD!
My wife eventually gave birth to a bouncing baby boy later that day. Baby and mother are fine, and the little one is already one month old today, the 9th day of August 2022, and in very good health. I kept replaying and worship in this song through out the trying time, and the Lord proved himself faithful. I exalted him, and I continue to exalt Him; He is my hero, and my closest friend. I Exalt Thee !

Yes! Agreed! I was 37 years old back then (going on 73 now), and we had six kids (ranging 2-19). We all used to go to every Phil Driscoll concert we could find near us, in California. We bought albums, and as one of our song leaders in our church, I introduced many songs like this to our members. One reason I loved his music so much, is that trumpet (cornet, actually) was my instrument going through high school. Plus my main love in life has always been singing. Then when I turned my life completely over to Jesus and found someone making music that went straight to my spirit, I wanted to hear as much as I possibly could. Just about a year ago, now, I bought myself a new trumpet...not a hugely great one, but I've been enjoying playing again. One of the songs that Phil used to play a lot was "Blow the Trumpet in Zion." I've been practicing that one again, now. Don't know if I'll ever play in public again, but, hey! Just making music between myself and God is great! Hallelujah! God is good!

God bless this great music minister. I still have an old tape of Phil Discroll with his beautifully crafted signature, somewhere. I loved Jazz so early and listening to his instrumentation in worship was mind blowing. As a choir member, this track brings flood of memories to the days we had zeal for God but struggled to live a life of purity, and one which was truly pleasing to the Lord. Listening to it now, many years down the line, one feels blessed singing along those scripture inspired words, enwrapped in an atmosphere of pure worship and total surrender to our dear Lord and King.

I watched this when he played it at the funeral and it was so much better. It just poured out of Phil with such emotion, it was absolutely beautiful! You could just feel the presence of the Lord. I love this song and Phil Driscoll's music..I listened to him all the time when I first got saved..so anointed..and This song btoughtvus right into the Presence of Jesus at Marcus funeral Service..God's Presence was so powerful at Marcus's Homecoming service..I haven't ever experienced the Lord this intensely ever, in any service..What an honor to have had Marcys Lamb and his powerful teaching on the Holy Spirit and God's anointing. He is still working for us from heaven..in the actual Presence of Jesus..the One we Adore and Serve. oh HALLELUJAH!! Around 1991 my friend and I waited to get Phil's autograph while he was talking to the very popular Carman. Both of them probably thought that we were waiting to get Carman's autograph. lol. Great performance by Phil that night!!! I still have the autograph!
