Nintendo isn't getting $60 out of me for a game I already own lol. I like TTYD a lot, but when people started that hashtag Remake Thousand Year Door thing back a few years ago, I felt like I hoped they didn't remake it. TTYD holds up well, and really, I just wanted a new Paper Mario that didn't just copy Sticker Star. "TTYD but prettier" isn't what I wanted, so I'm skipping out, but I hope those who never got to play the original enjoy it.
Nintendo is a devious monster that only knows one language, money, if the game does well (it probably will) we likely will get a new real paper mario game. To me the updates are enough to justify the purchase, but I understand why some people would want to skip out. HOWEVER You know the rules...
You have it, but is your GameCube hooked up to you TV right now, or is it in a box somewhere? Regardless, now you have to fight King Flowers, I'm sorry, I didn't make the rules.
@@Wendy_O._Koopa As a matter of fact, I have all of my retro systems still hooked up, including Gamecube and Wii. I'm pretty passionate about retro games, so I've still got all my old consoles hooked up. That includes every Nintendo console since NES.

As a Super Paper Mario apologist, I‘m not sorry. That game still has great characters, worlds, and the best story of them all. The battle system was never why I liked Paper Mario, it was always the world building and immersion which got totally gutted with Sticker Star
YOU ARE THE PROBLEM!!!! JK... . Thanks for sharing your opinion, Super Paper Mario's biggest sin is being different from what I wanted. It definitely has a lot of character, charm, and visual identity.
I'm not paying 60 dollars for a 20 year old game lol Nintendo needs to stop pricing budget titles as fucking Breath of the Wild and Mario Odyssey production scale
We don't judge movies by how old they are, a new DVD costs the same (generally) no matter how old the film is. What matters is the _quality._ Is this a good game? Yes. It is the best in the series by such a wide margin that it is virtually undisputed, I don't think any other franchise can claim that. So, if this game is going to provide you with 2000+ hours of play time, then... does it really _matter_ how old it is?
@Wendy_O._Koopa DVDs are not 60 dollars, also, I judge a game price by how many resources took the company to make the game, remakes and remasters take way less time and resources to be made. Every other company charges 40 bucks at most for remasters like this, Nintendo seems to be the only one to charge full price for a remaster of this kind
@@9-VoltGaming Well, you are welcome to use your own system, but I respectfully disagree. By that logic, Duke Nukem 3D took 14 years to make, so it should cost $400-500? Naw, I pay for quality. If Nintendo makes a little bit larger percentage of money than they put in, on a quality game, it should incentivize them to make _more_ quality games in the future. Plus I get, y'know, a quality game right now.
@AAAGamesMaster that's because you don't understand what MAINTAINING A BRAND is, most of the people complaining are sonic fans by proxy of autism, ubisoft and Sega devalue their games through their incompetence and lack of confidence in their software to hold value. Hilariously enough, the algorithm didn’t show me this until I'd already streamed four hours of TTYD Switch.
