What a great video Bobbi. I have shaved my face several times but didn’t know which any to use the blade. This is so helpful. Gotta get the Elf product, razors and ordinary oil. Can’t thank you enough!

I get a bit rough sometimes and will nic my face once in a while. Never shave your face when you’re in a hurry. It won’t end well. 😂 I will have to try the exfoliate after shaving.

I use this one too and have never experienced any irritation. It works really well and much easier and safer to use than shaving with a razor. Lots of fuzz comes out when I clean it so I know it’s getting all my fuzzies.

Hi Bobbie I have really reactive skin with both rosacea and eczema. My top tip is to use a sheet mask afterwards, but it has to be the right one. The Benton centella rescue redness relief sheet mask is my favourite for this, but as long as it's a very soothing mask you like then it should be fine (no fragrance or actives in the sheet mask). I can't use any acids or other actives for at least 24 hours afterwards and only a mineral spf the next day, but my skin is very hyper sensitive. i've been shaving my face for many years and it does make the makeup look so much better, especially if you have dry skin anyway. Best wishes.

I just use a regular 3 blade shaver. It's already on an angle and works great. I'm a natural blond turning white and I just have peach fuzz only I can see but I know it's there! I do it every other week and like you, at night. I only want good stuff to go on my face after that. I don't want to be putting my make up and stuff on after I've done it!

You are very cute… when I had a pixie cut and I said to my hairdresser “ look how long my hair is “ it’s all relative, right?

Hello. First, I have been watching your videos for about 2 weeks. I love them 😊 You have such a sweet and positive attitude. Even if the topic is unrelated to me I still enjoy watching just to boost my spirit. Second, I am finally going to take the plunge into the face shaving world. I am one of those who is nervous about the hair growing back thicker and darker.
Thank you for your videos and have a blessed day ❤️

Great video! Thank you! Versed At home dermaplaning kit is wonderful. You can reuse the replacement blade 3-4 times and the price to me is reasonable. $9.99 for three replacement blades but again you can reuse 3-4 times. They do last….it’s what I use😊

    • @eightacrehomestead

@@MindfulMidlife I ordered from versed online. I believe the kit is around $24 and it comes with the handle and three blades. Then you could order extras and you may have enough for free shipping. I always look for a coupon or sale and sometimes they will give you that first purchase discount. The handle is bigger but very light and easy to handle. It’s really worked well for me and I get 4 uses per blade. I also think there may be a video reviewing it on TH-cam if I remember right. Thank you again for your videos. I really do enjoy them😊

THANK YOU so much Bobbie, I have just purchased Elf Exfoliant from one of your other videos and LOVE it ! you are a life saver, I have dry but oily skin by the end of my day and find that I want to exfoliate every day as I always seem to have the texture of dead skin on my face especially on my forehead, does that makes sense? My skin feels so renewed after using Elf, I also have fine facial hair and am going to try and shave my face. I have The Ordinary in my skin care collection now and going to try the Rose Hip Oil. Thank you and so happy I found your channel ! you rock girl !! I always looks forward to your next video ! You certainly know how to hit home on a lot of my skin issues

Your facial hair isn't the same. I've never heard of anyone having it come back thicker or more. Keep in mind when it starts to come back it may look thicker but it's not, it's just cut so it appears thicker, but only to you.

I used to use a Michael Todd sonic facial derma planning tool till it died. Now I use a little Clipper listed on Amazon as an eyebrow trimmer. It uses a AAA battery, and completes the exfoliation and hair removal at the same time. Safer than razors, and can be cleaned with alcohol after use.
I rarely have any irritation after use. But I wonder if aloe would help the irritation if needed?

    • @gingerrobbins8743
      @gingerrobbins8743 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      P.S.
The Clippers usually cost about $10.00 - very economical for multiple uses!

Thanks for the video! We need to normalize women having hair on their bodies. If it wasn’t supposed to be there, it wouldn’t be there 😄. We shouldn’t be ashamed of it but if we choose to remove it, it’s good to know how to do it properly!

I love the look after shaving but the tip is always so sharp - I’ve started putting a drop of nail polish on the tip. Idk if it actually works but I haven’t cut myself since I started doing this. I reuse my blades and clean them just as o I do my leg razors. Maybe the Schlick blades aren’t sharp at the tip?

I'm curious. You were shaving your forehead, something I've never considered as I don't really see any hair or peach fuzz. Given that you're not a hairy person, is it necessary to shave the forhead?

It's not for the hair so much, but for the dead skin. I go very lightly - there's not much cushion on your forehead.

I was always taught to never shave your face as a child but I have to say it's the best thing for the face. It makes your makeup go on so flawless and it help actives sink in. Of course, only use actives later in the week and definitely don't use a gycolic acid to exfoliate never actives the night of. If you do I doubt you ever do it again, lol because it will burn to the high heavens.
