I feel a little connected here, ngl - Although I feel like his studies focused on "making film", whereas mine are more "understanding film in the context of arts and pop culture", a more passive approach for a wider field of work. Despite that, I still participated in a number of films, enough to know that working on a film set loses its thrill very quickly LOL
It is a lot of waiting, the days are long, and the hierarchy is very strict. On film student sets, because everybody still had to learn a lot, director and head of camera would always forget that the sound people exist. After building the set for the next scene, they would go "Okay, we can start!" and then I would come in with my boom pole and ask them where they want me to stand, so neither I nor my pole nor the shadows would be in the frame, and they would always be like "Uhm... oops we forgot to plan you in" and then they would have to rearrange the lighting and everything. Or I would have to crumple myself awkwardly behind a piece of furniture or under a table if changing the lighting would have killed continuity.
But at least the sound assistant is one of the very few people allowed to stop a running take, because you can hear much much more than everybody else - your hearing is a lot like with an ASMR mic! You can hear a plane coming like a minute earlier than everybody else. And since the deep rumble of a plane can't really be removed in post, there's usually no use in continuing until it's gone. So everybody forgets you all the time, but at least you have the power of STOP. :D One time I stopped a take because of a flock of chickens :D That was funny

I got sucked into this rabbit hole of vtubers only recently and it pleases me to know he's passionate about film. I almost had a chance to submit my own screenplay in a competition years ago, but it unfortunately didn't happen 🥲 getting to know this side of Vox is reigniting my love for creative writing, and I hope to see him produce films in the future ✨️

I really like how passionate he is with his dream. It’s really inspiring.
I wish he will produce the film he wanna do and achieve his dream someday.

I really wanna see milord succeed. That passion in him is unlike anything else I've seen before. I love that drive in him and I wanna see him reach new heights not only as a VTuber, but as a filmmaker. His ideas are so out-of-the-box and crazy that it leaves me on the edge of my seat wanting more.
I also had dropped out of college near the time in which I'd graduate, but my context was that I backed myself into a corner to make it a challenge to finish up. To see that it worked out for him is such a relief, though, because I never would've come across such a loving and supportive community, and I would never have taken such an interest in so many things that he does.

what im gathering from Zaion Lanza's... person? rper?... IRL? not sure, anyway what i gathered from that is that if they leave Nijisanji, they cant say "I was this character in Nijisanji" so if the person behind the vtuber character wants to pursue a content creator career as themselves and not as a character (or even as a new character), they cant say "hey if you were a fan of x vtuber, that was me, this is what im doing now."
on one hand, its really great for protecting identity, but on the other hand wouldn't that make it hard for someone who wants to leave Niji but still have a career as a content creator to take their fans with them? unless you knew who they were before Niji, which would make it easier to find their new stuff. but if you only knew them as x from Nijisanji i imagine it would be really hard to find them again after graduation.
    makes me kinda sad 😢

yeah it makes me sad too...but you can say you were associated with a company before just not anything specific, and you can imply stuff but not directly say it
