Medeli M361 is analog for EX-20, not 30
I made the experience that below $ 1000 Roland keyboards appears less toy like than Yamaha. Had a BK3 and this was packed with functions, Yamaha offers in keyboards above 1000 $

Thanks, i was going to buy this, but watching your video, i no longer interested in e-x30, so i saved a little more money and ordered roland bk-3 which was $40/$50 more expensive than e-x30, which has roland genuine sound and hardware, and had modulation control. And Yea, roland ex30 looks like cheap chinese keyboard.
So it has arrived!!!! Thanks for opening the box!!!!😍 So exciting! No one in America will sell me this keyboard😭.
The price keep rising. From 2019, it was 349 USD, but now (year 2023) the price is 649.99 USD via eBay but on local stores like here in the Philippines, it's $536.

I went to my nearby shop to test this but they told that as the product is new they cannot break the seal of this keyboard. Same happened when I asked about Casio ctx. So how can I get a demo?

i think this roland keyboard is at student class keyboard.. so it's not the same class as EK or CTX.. i think you should compare those keyboard with... Roland BK3

it's overpriced roland then... but anyway you make nice reviews jeremy... cdp s150 really interesting.. too bad only have 10 tones... and i think yamaha and the other should give their test product to you... because south east asia is like big market for arranger synth keyboard..
Nice video...does this compare to CTX 5000 or is the ctx5000 till now the best budget arranger?
I tried the Casio, the sounds were amazing, but the styles... they emulate a band of egoists who doesn't care about arrangement.

Hey Jeremy, I have a question. Are the keys of this keyboard touch sensitive?
I think the original Medeli m361 is still better than the rebranded ex30 by roland, the medeli is cheaper too making it seems to be worth it at around 197 usd
Instead of blue..it would be much better if it is colored with black..some controls will be coated with red and gray colors...
I think Kurzwiel well use the same chassis for their arranger keyboard
I showed the photo of the Kurzweil and mentioned the model number in my video.

Medeli M361(331) for sale at a price of $ 200 in Russia
The synthesizer is similar to this Roland E-X30(20), Kurzweil KP110.
Korg EK-50 is sold with us for $ 460. He is valued much better than Medeli. You can not compare.
Except that this is a Roland with a Roland pricing not a Medeli or a Kurzweil
Sorry for a straightforward question; you’ve mentioned that Yamaha didn’t feel like giving you an instrument for a test; can you say if other brands appeared to be more cooperative?
No problems with Casio & Korg. Any models I request and they do their best. Preview models before launch also no problems as long as I sign an NDA.

If you do not require an 88 key keyboard, check out the Yamaha PSR i500.
There are Casio options as well, but I've noticed that they don't sound good. The Piano voice sounds weird. I had to route mine to a DAW and use a Yamaha piano VST to make it sound good.

I saw this at a store and it was extremely well built, no gap between the keys and proper buttons which were far from flimsy

CVP is arranger piano. Roland don't have. Nothing to compare.

CT-X5000 is much much much better than E-X30

@@ashishgl9244 CTX 5000 and CTX 9000 IN both are basically the same keyboard. CTX 5000 is designed and marketed for Europe and CTX 9000 IN is for India. CTX 9000 IN(dia)...has more indian styles and instruments.

He told you the price in US$. Google the exchange rate and calculate. You'll get more or less what you are looking for.

No. E363 or CT-X700 is better for similar price.
At least Korg EK-50 seems to be better quality.
In my oppinion, it's the PA 50 again, they sold as "Micro Arranger".

I guess it won't be long before such keyboards will be offered under the generic AmazonBasics label. Maybe they will end up hanging from a peg at retail stores (like what happened to Sony Walkmans in the 90s).
Funny thinking of blister-packed boards hung from a peg like cheap phones. Would be good if they'd sell that many... :)
Great video Jeremy , but im quite disappointed with Roland.
Roland has so much technology to do the best possible arranger, you can imagine. Jupiter 80 showed, how authentic a keyboard can sound, they have VK organ plus virtual drums. They have simply to put together Integra 7, VR 09 and BK7M.
Well, if you knew me - phew - I am one of those disappointed again - especially if I hope I still find my files to be shared on my blog. (I wonder if only you try some of those Indonesian styles?). Let us pray for Roland more than to other brands. Jeremy, how about covering some other brands maybe still alien to most of us? Like: General Music and their splits, Bohm, Wersi, etc? Thanks and hoping you sell more to support your better musical living with passion.

@@JeremySee Well, I hope Roland is not designing its own future for disaster caused by the inner competition to perform better then the peers. But, from my point of view - we always still can take advantages from what people opinionated worst thing. E.g.: the programmable style (256 polyphony for ideas) using provided software I proposed to be shared with users, that means by using the USB stick as external memory counted as part of the internal will allow us to have unlimited styles (including the original styles I made long long time ago to be shared when the real working keyboard is officially in shops in Indonesia, hahaha.) There is always at least a hope. Ming Thian hwei keng hao! (Sorry my lousy latinish Mandarin).

My opinion that the style of Yamaha are not well supportive for Indian hindi filmi song Yamaha style are same working as it is on his old pattern. They did not changed as new thing in there models. If they changed then only with new models with price. I have 2 models but now I will not purchase this Yamaha again.

Roland seems to be getting lower quality,across the board, to lower prices. My old juno is built like a tank but it seems that their build quality has turned to cheaper materials... even the "professional" gear is getting flimsy. The boutique "modules" are a marketing ploy,to get a jp08 with 8 actual voices you have to buy two&chain them together,something most people didnt know until their "unboxing"because at first that wasn't even mentioned in their advertising.dont get me wrong,i dont usually use this type of board,im more of a "pro series"gear kinda guy(minimoog,juno8,rs9,cp80,elka,jpo8...ect)and i love roland's sounds&controls but come on roland,if it sounds good&people are willing to spend their hard earned money on your gear don't you think you should make something that will actually last awhile. My juno has been around forever,giged&shared&used alot&other than a missing knob&some scuffs it still functions like new. Im betting their new gear has about a 10 year lifetime.
