      Actually I used to make the trip out there from San Francisco when I used to do a bay-area-cali tour for card counting (several day trip before returning home). Used to do Cache Creek WEEKLY and since Thunder is like 1 hr away, occasionally made the trip there. Until I got banned from Cache. Currently it's 2 hrs from me 1 way, so it'll have to be for some tournament or other event before doing so!

      Thunder valley is too small of a game. There 2/5 is a 1k cap! Weak.

      @@everythingallin4905 Graton last time I cheked was match stack. And Lucky Chances has an unwritten rule, if there's a whale, you can match stack. One time in my life table allowed 5k match vs whale at 2-5.

    AT hand is painful. I think after you triple barrel, buttins range is really condensed by the river. Since on JJ99 on the turn, when you bet and get called, they are folding out all counterfeit underpairs. So their range is all Jx/9x/some AQo/TT/QTs/KTs. When you bet on river, i assume all their value hands are calling, and gou are only getting QT/KT and maybe other A high to fold.
    As always, like the videos with solver commentary in them.

      I think that's why I'm supposed to only bet small, at 20% or less freq. To prevent&block being bluffed and push out other Ax. Can do this for 1/3rd or less sizing. I think that's why I giggled during my commentary, cus I know I wasn't gonna get 9x to fold often. Esp not with a reg vs reg history.

    That AA top set hand is just patently absurd lol. Obviously would have sucked a lot if you had AK rather than AA, but you get gifted moments like this otherwise.
    Also a good reminder as to why you should sometimes bet AA-> AAA on a dry flop, even when you “block” top pair. You don’t block all top pairs, just most!

      I prob wont see some1 shove blind river for a pot that size for another year I bet. Yeah there's pros and cons both ways, I think as long as its a small bet it's always fine, people just might be thinking youre range c-betting a lot.

      @@AdvantagePlayer Yeah, AFAIK the solver likes to put top set of Aces in the same betting lines as some of its thinest value bets, and then takes larger sizings with some of the other nutted value.

    With the 99 hand on turn if you’re overbetting with value what’s your bluff?

    • @AdvantagePlayer
      @AdvantagePlayer  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      JT, T8 and occasional 45 suited. Mix with A4/A5 at lower frequency. These would be my natural bluffs I'll arrive at. GTO wants crazy shit though. Like KJo does 1.5x overbet. I'll probably never have that in a live 2-5 NL game. It's also important to note because I'm using such a wide range of bet sizes, it's really hard to know how often this spot will come up again, and whether I randomize 25% pot with a hand like 45 vs betting 50-100% pot, which changes my line.

      @@AdvantagePlayerwhat is the thinnest you can go for value as an overbet in this spot? Like I assume overpairs that don't get raised on flop can B125. I like over betting against capped ranges, once callers don't x/r oop on wet flops. Since people drastically under protect their call ranges, so they basically never have 22/33/77 their after calling on the flop.

      Share the sentiment, if we assume villain always x/r by turn with their nuttier holdings since its mega wet board (population), then I'll just pot/overbet everything tbh. And adjust sizings based on live read.

    Do you guys prefer Hand #1 Layout with AA (pot and board on top) or Layout #2 with (pot and board on bottom right)?
    Feedback welcomed

      Latter, I think visually you want to see more of the table and the players, not your (body) hand and stack.
