भारतीय सरकार अधिनियम, 1935 एक महत्वपूर्ण और विस्तृत दस्तावेज़ था, जिसमें 10 अनुसूचियाँ और 321 खंड शामिल थे, और इसे ब्रिटिश शासन सिद्धांतों से अनुकूलित किया गया था। इसके मुख्य बिंदु निम्नलिखित हैं:
1)संघीय प्रणाली की स्थापना:
भारत में संघीय सरकार की प्रणाली की शुरुआत की।
2)शक्तियों का विभाजन:
शक्तियों को केंद्र और राज्यों (प्रांतों) के बीच विभाजित किया गया।
कुछ शक्तियाँ केवल केंद्र के पास थीं, कुछ केवल राज्यों के पास, और कुछ दोनों के बीच साझा की गई थीं। इसमें 36 सामान्य शक्तियाँ शामिल थीं।
3)प्रांतीय अधिकार:
राज्यों में स्वतंत्र प्राधिकरणों को समाप्त कर दिया गया; प्रांत अपनी क्षेत्रों के भीतर स्वतंत्र रूप से कार्य कर सकते थे, लेकिन केंद्र के पास सर्वोच्च अधिकार था।
राज्यों में गवर्नर शासक प्राधिकरण थे (1939 तक जारी रहे)।
4)द्वैध शासन और द्विसदनीयता:
प्रांतों में द्वैध शासन का प्रस्ताव रखा, लेकिन राज्यों ने इसे अस्वीकार कर दिया।
मद्रास, बंबई और बंगाल जैसे प्रांतों में कई प्रतिबंधों के साथ उच्च और निम्न सदनों के साथ द्विसदनीय विधानमंडल की शुरुआत की।
5)अलग निर्वाचक मंडल:
अनुसूचित जातियों, श्रमिकों और महिलाओं के लिए अलग निर्वाचक मंडलों का प्रावधान किया।
6)भारत के राज्य सचिव और सलाहकार:
भारत के राज्य सचिव की नियुक्ति सलाहकारों की एक टीम के साथ।
7)मतदान अधिकार:
लगभग 10% आबादी को मतदान का अधिकार दिया गया।
8)मुद्रा नियंत्रण:
मुद्रा के प्रवाह को नियंत्रित करने के लिए भारतीय रिज़र्व बैंक की स्थापना की।
9)संघीय न्यायालय:

Bagmati river is an important river of northern India. It originates in the shivapuri hills of kathmandu valley of Nepal. It crosses the the shivaliks and terai region thus entering into bihar. In bihar , the bagmati river merges with the river budhi gandak. The banks of this river also incorporates various imp temples such as the Pashupatinath temple (unesco world heritage site) and the gokarneshwar temple.
