Old school private severs made me realize what a bad MMO MapleStory actually was (imbalanced and full of exploits) Glad that I still have fond memories of the game from back in the days when people used to socialize in mmos
I find old maple charming, but yeah it is one of the worst MMOs compared to the modern market. Complete lack of balance, HP washing (which has to be one of the most fundamentally broken mechanics in an MMO ever) exploits, crucial class skills that are just... dead because the developers didn't implement a formula correctly, and time-limited cash shop cosmetics. They somehow made one of the most consumer-unfriendly cash shops before microtransactions became a big thing in MMOs. Sadly legends doesn't address any of the glaring problems (except HP washing). Meanwhile, all the other servers do too much and make it a different game which is just worse than current maple.

all these servers suck lol, they are far from being oldschool, they have map ownership and also will ban you for mass defaming, or for using summoning sacks. They appeal to snowflakes, and the goal is to just sell leech for hours on end, they both are full with rwters, venezuelans selling leech around the clock so they can sell mesos. If you want an oldschool experience play the less populated servers that don't have leeching and these snowflake rules. Banesauce is gonna be like that, still hasn't released yet at the time that i'm writing this.
