I don’t think this should be a big deal for the guy to break up with her. The guy was childish to do that. I mean, it didn’t even happen that she went to the location dressed like that. She called to ask if the outfit was okay, the only thing a guy (who is supposedly dating a lady he is in love with) would do is, “laugh at her or even tease her ( that should be normal in a 3years relationship) and then tell her, oh you are overdressed, it’s not a wedding(in a jovial manner), get something simple or casual because of the occasion. As simple as that, where is the breakup in this? Unless the guy doesn’t love her or was already looking for a silly reason to call it off (which also explains why in 3years of dating, no dates).
