shai is way too low on this list, putting jamal at 12 as well above shai who made first team all nba is a terrible decision
Thats what happens when you barely even make the tournament to decide who the best team is. Shai will have his time, OKC lookin insane.
Jamal is better than Shai rn. Shai didn't make the playoffs while Jamal had an all time great run for a second option on a championship team.
Jamal had Jokic😂😂
Did he win a championship? Exactly
@@FilledWithDeterminationI see your point, but what’s the argument for Kyrie 3 spots ahead of Shai and Trae Young 5 spots ahead of him?
Respect the list, but for me personally, shai at 22 is actually crazy. And i love jamal but 12 might be too high
Jamal should be top ten if you add the playoffs.
If you think so i won't argue it, but in my opinion it would be unfair to put a guy like jamal who does not handle the responsability of leading his team over players like shai or dame
@@husseinragat Playoffs only is a bad argument when there were 82 games in the regular season. Some players had great post-seasons and regular seasons while being better than Shai all these years
Shai is 22? LMAO. He is #5.
Jamal better than streetclothes and Lebron
this list is incredibly inconsistent. some players are getting knocked down for lack of playoff success, whereas others it's ignored.
Exactly what I was thinking...

Where’s Jaren the dpoy
As a nuggets fan it’s crazy how high Jamal Murray is but, then I realized if you play like an MVP in the playoffs then you pretty much are a top player
Naa. Respectfully I don't agree. If he were put on the wizards he wouldn't be even a top 20 player to most. He definitely isn't top 12 that's a fact. Playing along the best player in the nba and that system definitely makes him look better and it helps a player like Murrys stats. And mind you it's the type of player joker is that would make any wing player who can shoot drool! But top 11 in my opinion that's almost laughable. I have him between 20-24 somewhere. But again I kmow everyone has there own opinion
@@Ricky-yj8vzdid you watch the playoffs or just look at the stats???
Jamal's best skill was stopping other teams runs...
He hit all the key shots for the nuggets not Jokic. And often Jamal created those shots by himself.
Plus Jamals playmaking in the playoffs was something Shai can only dream about.
Now y'all are holding Jokic against his teammates instead of against himself. I guess thats progress...
Bron was playing through a torn tendon and averaged 25/10/7
Doesn’t sound like aging

He had Dame at 11 I believe
@@josephgarrett3075 yeah. That was my bad.
Yeah Lauri's gotta be top 30 now
Anthony edwards at 29 is crazy!!
Decent list, good job with this. I don’t agree with all the choices but I can see why you made them.
Luka is too high
Having Zach LaVine over Ant Edwards, Tyrese Haliburton, Domantas Sabonis and DeMar DeRozan is crazy. Feels like you could’ve probably spent more time on this list
yeah the number of teams that only got 1 player on the list and the players that missed out to Demar and Zach is nuts when the Bulls were dismal this year. Don't call it a best players in 2023 list and then not reward people for being the best in 2023
@@Bobsyagod yup. This list felt not even real, like he tried on the top 10 and after that he just started slotting guys in random places with not much thought
Seriously idk how a player who underachieves as much as KD continues to get praised and ranked high bc of his talent, while he struggles to play half the season and hasn’t led a team past the 2nd round since GS…I don’t understand
Thank you I be saying the same thing! It doesn't make sense at all how is he top 5 when he keeps underperforming in the playoffs and his teammates outplaying him!

Shai Gilgious-Alexander has gotta be higher. I'd say Top 15 at least. And Jamal Murray has got to be lower at like Top 20.
These are some of my favorite videos on TH-cam man and I’ve lived watching the top 30s over the year
😂😂😂😂 this ranking gotta be a joke
Shai is wayyyyyyy to low fam 😭😭
SGA at 22 is criminal. He is at the very least a top 15 player
Shai made All-NBA 1st team, him being this low is insane
Tatum over jimmy is Crazy
Yesssss. Ranking videos are the best. Could u do the position rankings and starting lineups for next season?
Ranking videos are the best regardless of if you agree on the takes they’re entertaining and gives you insight on some of the values of other NBA fans and how casual they may seem. This list is in my opinion actually terrible but it’s entertaining he puts emphasis on the playoffs but has Lillard so high and he didn’t even make it
Starting lineups will come later when the leagues about to start..too early now..many moves and trades can still be made
Good list overall. I'd swap KD and Luka at 4 and 5, and move up SGA a few spots
Great Video...
Your top 13 are crazy out of order imo but great watch
I think over the last 4 years in the playoffs Jimmy has owned the eastern conference (except for in 2021) and he hasn't really had any other star players except Bam who is hella inconsistent. Jimmy has basically owned the East with a bunch of average role players and undrafted guys so imo he has to be viewed as the best player in the East until proven otherwise
Can't say he owns the East when he only went to the finals 2 of the last 4 years but I get what you're saying though
I understand where your coming from but in the end what ring did he win from that??...at least when lebron "owned the east" he got 3 chips from it

Yeah, its too high
Shai being all nba 1st team yet being 22 on the list is CRAZY
SGA at 22 and Siakam at 26?
SGA putting up 32 pppg & Siakam averaged 27ppg. Damn
Jamal Murray can’t be that high for one good playoff run meanwhile shai averaged 30 and got 22
Austin is a Thunder hater I think he's always ranked OKC players super low even when they are superstars.
PG genuinely hasn’t fallen off, idk why you are even saying that. Injuries are an issue, yes. But he was literally an All Star last year averaging 23.8 PPG, 6.1 RPG, 5.1 RPG, and 1.5 SPG on 45-37-87 splits
This list just shows even if you have a TH-cam channel and you talk hoops your basketball knowledge can be very 🤏
SGA for 22 is crazy. All NBA team and averaged a little over 30 points in the season is ENOUGH to put him in the top 15..
Respectfully Julius Randle should be on that list. Yes he did have a bad post season but don’t sit up here acting like Brunson got the Knicks to the 5th seed by himself 💀
he's way too ass in the playoffs to be there, he's never had 1 good series in his career
Who you taking over in the top 30 list the guys Austin mentioned
Hot take: LeBron is still top 5
He averaged a damn near 30 point double double on a team that made the WCF
ant at 29 is crazy ngl bro averaged 32, 5 and 5 in the playoffs
Small sample size
I believe if kat is healthy this season he will be top 15-20
Nah he sucks
Kats a mentally weak player, there are guys that will replace him shortly (Wemby, Scoot, hell even his teammate Ant)
W take
doubt it. He’s a more athletic Channing Frye. He still gets easily overpowered in the post, is still a very poor perimeter defender and he’s 100% a liability in the playoffs due to his poor defense, inconsistent offensive performers and regularly committing bad fouls because of his poor defense
He will be a top 5 player in the play-in tournament, lead the wolves as one of the tournament favorites. When first round starts, people will say he changed the game.
Being from Milwaukee, I’m still putting Giannis over Jokic.
That being said, I’m wrong. Jokic is the best player in the league
I still think Giannis is the best player in the league but I have to rank jokic number 1 out of respect for winning the championship and FMVP. Don't forget he was a MVP candidate in the regular season too🤷🏾♂️.
There is no excuse for AD not to be top 10, he won several player of the months, several player of the weeks, carried the lakers when lebron missed a ton of games and easily made the 2nd seed grizzlies shit their pants and the defending champs warriors have absolutely no idea what to do with him.
Inconsistent and injury prone
Was great against the grizz and warriors but disappeared against the nuggets
@@prestigeteej1074 disappeared? With 40 points in the 1st game and averaging 26, 14 and 2 blocks?! Disappeared? Listen bro just stick to the NFL or some other shit
@@VincentVincent_89bro watches the NBA through media narratives lol
@@VincentVincent_89he disappeared in wcf from games 2-4 tho. 💀😂😂
@@VincentVincent_89but still his defense in the first 2 rounds were historic. He literally singlehandedly anchored their defense, I didn't saw the same against Denver especially in games 2-4. He's clearly tired.
IMO I think Haliburton is in the top 30 players for last season. Dude led the league in assists and put up over 20 points per game while keeping the pacers respectable and competitive! Haliburton I think makes an all-star game and 2nd team all-nba. As long as he stays healthy and the team improves. Haliburton as long as he stays healthy and improves his game (continuously each season). I think can be a dark horse MVP candidate within the next 3-4 years. Probably not ever going to win it. BUT his game continues to improve and is so smooth. I can see him leading the league in scoring at least once though. Dude is a special player in the making!
No Lauri Markennen is insane. He was an all star starter and nearly all-nba. To not even crack the top 32 is hilarious 😂
How tf is Ant that low and worse than Demar or Lavine. He too 15 fr
Ant should atleast be 22 above jalen brunson and everyone you mentioned before him
ant being 29 was low but im assuming you haven't watched jalen brunson this year because I would definitely give brunson the slightest edge after this season
@@samin5023 nah I definitely watched brunson this season but in opinion ant is better than brunson in every aspect of the game except playmaking and maybe even ball handling, if I were to ask who would you rather build a team around to win a chip most people would go with ant .
@@adam_3726 true id go with ant but the list is currently and brunson i feel like elevates the whole team better than ant as he is a great ball handler and his offensive game is crazy given him being really short. Brunson also took them to the second round single handedly while I know ant faced a harder opponent, idk imo Brunson gets a spot higher for now. Both’s impact currently are almost identical tho
@@samin5023 I understand your point but I still give ant the edge but slightly, I honestly would love to see them on the same team together that would be a perfect backcourt
I agree Ant Edwards is definitely around 20 to 22 right now, and will only get higher he's only 21 years old.
this list is just straight crazy
Too inconsistent...a guy like shai was an all nba player and is out the top 20..and then you have Murray who despite having a great playoff performance should not be 12...theres more but that's just the 2 I noticed off the rip
the ant man is criminally underated
Brandon Ingram should get at least an hoururable mention. He is very underrated. Also, there is no way Shai is only 22 and Damian Lillard is a little bit too low. He is better than Devin Booker And Jimmy Butler. Jimmy only had a good playoff run this year

Love your videos Austin and everyone is entitled to their own opinion, but the list is very inconsistent. I really think you could benefit from grading players based on key criteria and then ranking them from those grades. Keep up the content though. 👍👍
