Wow, Chie Nakayama San and Yuko Fujisawa San thank you for this lovely Raga Yaman rendition, you both play it so fluently, its wonderful to see Indian classical music being adopted by you and other non Indian artists. Thank you. Namaste Japan
A beautiful rendition. I may be incorrect but are you skipping the samvaadi note for the first beat ? Your first beat is on the madham-pancham instead of gandhar as far as if I've noticed
Thank you for watching. I am sorry to say that I could not catch the meaning of your question well. Is it about Drut Composition? If it is yes ,,, Pancham is on SAM (first beat) on this compositon.
So in south Asian music each raga has a samvaadi and Vadi note (the dominant notes of the raga). For Yaman these two notes are gandhar and nikhad. The samvaadi is the note which is used more or the note where the strokes are more used. Similar is the case for the vaadi note.
Thank you for watching. Ji. Now I don’t publish my guru ji name on my profile because I am feeling that I m not enough to put his name yet. When the time come, then will put with big respect. Thank you.
よくわからんけど、この暑くなる季節にちょうどいいリラックス、チル。

In Yaman the sam can be placed on Pancham.
Good tone and good playing. Who is your guru?
