I'ma just rewrite this comment cause I did some research: 6H overhead would be nice but would probably need to be even slower (or faster if we wanted to get silly) than Bedman? and Asuka's which are both currently 2 frames slower at 25 frames. Otherwise there'd be a 1 frame gap to fuzzy 6H and 214S which tbh they need but on paper it doesn't sound too fun to deal with. I think they just need to make stain not destroy combo scaling, it can be hard to open up someone who knows Test's mix but once we do we should be able to get more damage from smaller conversions that apply and pop stain mid combo.
Test has enough lockdown and left/right mix, plus an entire toolbox of zoner bullshit, and Underside is an existing ranged high/low. They do not need another quick overhead
@overlordchemm3705 I see, I'm still on the 6H overhead train, even if it requires a rebalancing (and doesn't remove the current Testament BnBs with 6H), but I would also agree that having better combo routes when using Testaments main gameplan (Stain) would be beneficial - especially considering most of the time a stain confirm is going to either be 5/2K or 5S, which don't have the best routes.
@@Prommythean to counter their "zoner bullshit" you can just jump over it, and to react to the left/right u have 31f thats more than enough to counter them urself. and arbiter high/low has the easiest counter being crouch block when u hear arbiter then react to overhead bcs the low is 24f while high is 28f
Finally a Testament replay so I can whine. Testament has been nerfed this patch and is easily at the lowest state they ever been. Stain pop of throw scales so bad any follow up hits does 1 damage and breaks wall instantely. This means it loses you corner for the characterr with one of the most important corner pressure in the game. Testament had more reward of OTG grave reaper into throw loops and it did more damage even in chipp pressure. Add this with the 6P nerf now at 24f recovery from 15f and the fact many of Testament most terrible MUs like Johnny and Ram got buffed, also more health for eveveryone using a low damage character and Testament was basically the 3rd biggest loser of this patch after Axl and Millia in first.
What about Zato lol, I think Millia and Axl got it bad but ain’t no way they could take away Zato’s free lockdown super and not consider him worse off than Testament this patch. And ok I get it arguing for 3rd and 4th biggest loser is silly, but he’s kinda cooked still. It’s a shame all these cool characters and their niche’s are nerfed, I’m happy for Baiken, but why couldn’t these guys get buffed like her? And hell why did the top tiers get buffed like crazy
@@ollolool I mean Zato is just the ugly duckling of Strive right now. He is so bad I don't even consider him as a loser in patches because he is just in the worst state imaginable. I'd consider losers character that were somewhat buffed and nerfed but where the nerfs outvalued the buffs in reality. Zato is simply bottom1 of bottom1, no matter the buffs he gets he'll lose.
You can have one of each, so a total of 2 on screen. As a Testament player, it feels like a joke to deal with considering I can just teleport or arbiter sign. But it's really good in other matchups.
