Body feels light as a feather.. almost not there.. I like it! Will continue as I have migraines and fatigue and so many issues for decades and now perimenopause.... ✌️
A very helpful 5 minute light breathing video. At present I use your coherent breathing 4...6... video twice a day, mornings and afternoons/ evening. Also I'm able to practice at the gym, nasal breathing, some light breathing, some short breath holds, (cautious as suggested) using the treadmill. Freshens up my gym program altogether, which is now more focused around breathing, nasal breathing rather than getting through the exercise programmes. The whole 40 mins. hour is fresher and immediate, rather than some days of 'slog' :) Great practice Buteyko breathing very glad I have taken this up. Many thanks, john.
I just wanted to thank you from the bottom of my heart. I love your videos. Have learned Buteyko breathing but you are taking it to the next level for me. God bless you ❤
Wonderful! You can also use small breath holds when walking as an alternative to breathe light: www.thebuteykomethod.com/buteyko-breathing/walking-with-breath-holds
Shalom thank you so much , I do appreciate every single breathing technique you have shown me , and everyone ….how to help in our busy lives ..you have made a difference in my life . :) thank you .
Perfect! Yes, that's the idea. I've also just posted this guide to small breathing habits you can easily integrate into a busy schedule, in case it's helpful :www.thebuteykomethod.com/buteyko-breathing/10-tiny-breathing-habits-to-transform-your-health
If it is comfortable is it beneficial to go longer periods? Also when you stop if you have natural desire for deep breath what to do? Is this method not to do such full yogi breaths?
Yes you can do for longer periods. Often it is practised using rounds of 3-5 minutes with a 30-second break between each round, and sometimes with additional breath holds. Yes try to resist the urge to take deeper breaths during or after - if the urge is very strong, it may be that the air hunger was too strong during the practice - so then go more gently. 🙏🏻
Do you have any idea why the people at advanced Buteyko institute won’t answer their email? I really need to get access to more advance exercises but they don’t answer and their website barely works!
Yes absolutely - you want to feel a mild air hunger, a gentle shortage of air, like you'd like to take a deeper breath, but you don't. Just don't make it so strong that you feel tense or stressed.
Don't worry, your body might not be ready for it yet. Try this instead, most people find it much more accessible to begin with : th-cam.com/video/ZZvgKzySOgU/w-d-xo.htmlsi=gfLk_1PQw_zxRmfT
This didn't feel like it did anything for me, maybe because I've studied flute for decades and I'm too comfy with the air hunger feeling? I would stop holding my nose and then forget to breath when it was time to breathe 'nornally.' I'm not sure what that really is for me, because I'm so used to manipulating my breath.
Yes it could well be that your CO2 tolerance is already very high. There are stronger versions, and you can also start to combine with physical exercise. Check out "The Oxygen Advantage" by Patrick McKeown if you are interested 🙏🏻

This was a nice morning session, thank you.
Excellent video, I can really feel the extra oxygen to my brain by using these shallow breaths, it sounds counter intuitive but it wakes me up, thanks
Wonderful! You've got it!
@@thebuteykomethod only discovered this.site yesterday. Been practising since then. Today was one of the clearest thinking days I've had for months.
I am coming back to your video daily. Now to continue to bring this awareness into my movement. It can feel tricky.

can you talk more about how you improved your insomnia?
Very nice, is that okay if we exhale slowly from mouth ?
Thank you. Nasal breathing for both the in and out-breath, to minimise air flow.

Hi @birdseyetarot, I have no affiliation with them and do not know anyone from the organisation so apologies I can't help there.

That sounds really tough - I'd speak to your doctor to begin with if you haven't already done so.
