I’ve been watching your content since late 2015 (even before I knew how to solve a Rubik’s cube!), and I’ve quite honestly enjoyed almost every single video you’ve put out there, be it cubing or non-cubing related. Will definitely be following the new channel, and I’m looking forward to seeing where things go from there :)

I happened to come across this now, but glad to hear that you're able to work on content you're passionate about. I find myself in a similar situation for quite a while now, where I'm not sure what to do with this channel, since I don't want to limit myself to only making cubing content. I've been thinking about slowly transitioning the content on this channel, but we'll see about that. Anyways, good luck to you!

I've never unsubbed from a TH-cam channel and only blocked exes on FB. Not even _all_ exes 😛 I've always thought it was kinda weird people who curate their follows like that.
Either way, you sound a lot like me. Probably the asperger's in my case but I have a few "special interests" that I'm always working on. Music, cubing, and language learning. Linguistics is fascinating. Good luck with it!

That’s wonderful! It’s been a big part of my life for a long time, so it’s just really special to hear about a Random Internet Person such as yourself minoring in it, and making videos about it! If I may ask, what specialty/sub-specialty of linguistics interests you the most?
@@svedebn That's awesome! My favorite stuff is generally in the realm of phonetics/phonology/morphology; I get a bit lost when getting into syntax and semantics. The IPA is just soooo much fun, and our subconscious phonological rules are so cool. I freaked out when I learned that the "h" in "human" is actually realized as a [ç] for (many) native English speakers. I'm also currently in my fourth semester studying ASL, and I'd be super interested in delving deeper into the phonetics/phonology of sign languages. How about you? Are you a linguist yourself?

It’s so cool to talk about linguistics with other people! There’s a certain joy in it that I can’t quite describe, and for me, it’s the field of science (yes I know it’s a social science) that has captured my attention the most. It’s just so neat!
Somehow I only saw this now but all I can say is thanks DG for all the cubing videos u have given to us, thanks for being one of the first cubers I watched when I first started and I hope all future endeavours go well!
If you like linguistics, check out Alexander Arguelles. His content is engaging and sometimes "extreme". He is a professor of linguistics and a polyglot (he speaks 10 languages and studied 60).

Oooh good question. We may continue it but probably not super-frequently. We tried doing a monthly thing and it hasn't fully panned out, but there is an episode that I'm sitting on and still need to edit. I'd say expect at least one more episode in the near future, then an infrequent schedule later on.
