I've been painting every day for 3 years, I live alone and don't have family or friends. It's my greatest pleasure and a great meditation and my art has got better and better. Great idea for the inks, are the bottles glass?
That is wonderful that your Art is so important for you and that it provides a place for comfort and meditation. As a professional artist (it's how I earn my living and pay the bills) creating can sometimes carry with it extra pressure and stresses as you work to deadlines/requirements for galleries/exhibitions/client commissions. Don't get me wrong I absolutely LOVE what I do but it's really important to find the ebb and flow between the.more pressurised creativity and the creativity that gives you comfort and joy, like a mediation. That's why the freedom and fun of my sketchbooks (which is mostly what I share here) is so important to me. I also find creative joy in gardening and cooking and this week with my mind full of worry for my Mum I've had to do the creative things that full my soul tank. The ebb and flow of finding that balance between creating for sheer joy is what gives me the passion to do the work that I love too, even when sometimes it can be stressful. The two feed one another, but sometimes I need to remind myself of that balance of pressure/work/joy/passion/rest. I am so happy to read that you find your joy in creating every day, I try for the most part to do the same and it is the key to getting better and better at what you do and having the confidence to try new things too xx Oh and yes, the bottles were glass bottles. Have a beautiful creative day!
