Alexander the Ordinary lost to the Mighty Punjabi Khatri Porus and his warriors. All modern historians have concluded that. Old historians falsely claim that Alexander won. As shown in the Hollywood movie, Alexander's horse got hit by Porus's javelin and Alexander fell on the ground. There he got hit by an arrow. When Porus approached him and almost was about to crush him with the elephant's foot, his soldiers came running to his rescue to save him and raised a white flag to surrender. His horse died and he signed a truce to not return in future and requested Porus not to mention his defeat to anyone. Porus kept that promise.
Prior to him Cyrus, Darius, Syrian Queen Semiramis all lost to the Mighty Punjabi Khatris and retreated back to their home. Semiramis came to conquer India with 400,000 soldiers and returned home with only 20,000 soldiers.

So you're willing to take into account the description of the historical event from a movie but dismiss historical accounts and then make a claim that somehow the result of the battle or the overall account of the battle was distorted and falsefied and to fit their narrative yet you don't provide a single evidence.

My dear I have some qstns please clear it.
    1) If alexander won the war why he retreated to macedonia?
2)Why he handover Gandhar to Puru ?
3)Before coming to India he won whole middle east and west asia he had enough resources to carry on his campaign ,then why stepped back?
    4) If he won why he never came back to India? He putted his war general over his victory places, then it would be easy for him to come and attack again.
    5) If he won , he ll take some preparation and attacked India again to defeat Dhana nanda but he did not.
    6) at 323 BC he died, so as per so called historians he lived 4 years after defeating porus ,he had enough time to recall the campaign but why he did not?7) He sent his ambassador to collect knowledge , infos about India, he got all infos but again he never came back, Why Why Why???
    8) He had enough resources, if he defeated Puru , if it was so easy then he would definitely attack magadh but he did not , no involvement of magadh had been seen, if magadh involved then Takshashila definitely record the history but no mention of magadh.
    Strange Strange Strange.

@@kuru6212@Bookstawa A lot of people here are saying that the facts are distorted in this narrative of the Alexander's history. I can't mention everyone but I would like you to think about it. Although I am not taking sides but you can't reject this bookish narrative. It has logic.
We know that physical abilities may wary geographically. Jamaicans are good in track and fields i. e. Marathon, sprinting but we subcontinental people have to work slightly, if not more than that, hard because their must be morphological and anatomical differences among us in the world.
Greece is not as hot as our subcontinent. Alexander might not be able to lure people of other parts of his conquered world to fight for him. Combats require patriotism as well, even today. Mercenaries won't last against it. It is a basic sense.
The possibility of his death might not be rejected. Ambitious people put efforts, sometimes risky, which can affects anything including their health.
