We worked in Jubbal area at Paronthi, khada pathar and ko lada
what is that water like liquid in which they put apples before putting in boxes
s cleaning of apples in a channel. Fresh clean water water only.
Now a days farming is better than engineering..Keep going👍

This is really amazing for our small and marginal farmers ,i hope our uttarakhand government focus more such project ,my native place many acre of land in {दड्डवा} today there is barren land where apple was once cultivated.
Collective farming linked with market always a need for farmers prosperity and national food security.
Yes, Govt should more encourage to tree based plantation, it help for both Farmers and environment.
After Utrrakhand flash flood of 2013 GOI’s power sectors PSUs agreed to provide funds from their CSR for restoration of farmers livelihood but never reached to them in Gangotri area. The committees has been formed at districts, state and GOI level.
True but in government system there are lack of focus on implementing these types of ventures with communities. As an example a CSR project of power sector companies of GOI was sanctioned for livelihood restoration of the farmers in Gangotri area affected by 2013 flash flood but nodal agency THDC India never released the funds due to unknown reasons.

This eventually farmers owned businesses now prepared for replication. A new company Annamrit Kalash for Maharashtra has been registered.

Partnerships of farmers collectives and social investors to build value chains could deliver more venture like this.
We are now prepared to replicate the model in other parts of India for multiple crops with like minded farmers collectives, value chain businesses and social investors to build back better from damage due to COVID-19 pandemic.
What “damage”?
The lockdown announced by governments to limit the spread of infectious disease damaged the businesses, supply chains and employment opportunities. Restoration of these all during unlocking by building partnerships in solidarity with stakeholders is necessary.

As per this social business model partnering with value chain businesses by replacing middlemen has been practiced. Removing creat a vacuum to allow another layer of greed.
JarJarBinks this model a step ahead as hybrid of cooperatives with corporate partnerships to realise the blended values of social and economic returns both at same time.

This is the true example of Atmanirbhar Bharat. Instead of shelling out lacs of crores of taxpayers money to crony capitalists, schemes and movements like these should be encouraged. But this won't happen on a countrywide scale as the parties that come to power are funded by the very cronies who don't want anyone to challenge their monopoly and unethical ways of business.
Suryamani Goswami this is true as this initiative also started and managed as a social business financially supported by a social investment organisation www.farmersasowners.org From government support for livelihood restoration after 2013 flash flood was sanctioned through THDC India but never reached to farmers and still laying in their bank account.
This kinds of groups are necessary in whole India...tears came from my eyes when I heard that few months back the middle men bought onions at 50 paise from Maharashtra farmers
If farmers collectivised and build partnerships with value chain businesses it could possible for any crop everywhere.

Seems like even just access to cold storage can help the farmers get better incomes. We really need to get this technology accessible to every single village in India
If farmers can improve their holding capacity for longer time they will bargain better with businesses.

Well, basically don't have to move away from villages. This model should be replicated all over India. The Indian villages of the future should be technological and resource powerhouse. Cities are highly overrated and crowded.
One of the objective of this initiative is to overcome the difficulties of our migration in Uttrakhand hills.

But I have grown to love their AJE®'s Mr Mehdi Hasan's interview-style in conducting interviews. One-on-one, _sans_ the oh-so-unfamiliar shouting and yearning to just jump at each other!( TOTAL understatement of ratings-driven Indian mainstream press. Since I don't believe in binaries, 'course not the absolute.) _Vide_ ‘DW®'s Conflict Zone™’, presented by a Murican journalist.
I don't enough viewing-experience in DW® Documentary, the only other significantly-reliable international pubcaster to have their distinct documentary-making operations. My insight into them is[ creamless] wafer-thin. However, if you really do like DW® Documentary channel - may I recommend one?

...Underwhelming, because perhaps owing to the scope and time-restrictions of the DW®'s ‘Close Up®’ documentary-strand and obviously, old-school Journalism strictly abhors commentary [ which includes positing _solutions_ ] - it comes across as a wafer-thin analysis, given its setting. However, still bold enough given the political-climate across most of the "First World" in shutting-off critical, non-academic discourse pertaining to that geopolitical-entity.

so far no government support reached to these farmers organisations and businesses promoted by www.annamrit.com as a social investor. Once the support was sanctioned by NDMA government if India for livelihood restoration of 2013 flash flood effected Apple growers of Gangotri area but the implementing agency THDC India never released the funds despite a decision on a PIL of women’s cooperatives.
Wanna buy house in uttarakhand so can live a peaceful life and farming but I m not sure which place ...now I think this place seems right..
Its not easy to buy property in Uttarakhand by outsiders.

I sold apple at 1.5 crore in Hp . Nashpati for 32 lakh . Plums at 7lakh. Labour was a problem this season but it’s ok.

There are lot of possibilities but we need the right selection of areas, crops and producers collectives to start a feasibility study and investment plan to start a partnership model of social businesses.
