    Informative video, the wear on those impellers is from something in my that went through. I had 1 that had a rag stuck in it & when the rag was removed in shreds, the impeller looked like that one.

    I wondered how to do this. I dropped the entire cradle, engine, and trans in one piece. I had other work to do to the engine though, timing chain, tensioners, guides, waterpump and phasers, It just made more sense to me to drop the whole thing and make sure everything was timed right.

    • @NutsandBoltswithTone
      @NutsandBoltswithTone 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      That is not a bad idea especially if you are doing all that timing work. I do everything I can to make sure I have the best access when doing timing systems. Thanks for watching.

    Thanks for another detailed video. I've seen chewed up impellers because the bearings were severely worn. I never saw one where the nut came off. If Ford turbos were installed I would hope that Ford picks up the bill. That turbo must have been assembled on either a Monday or a Friday. Were they new or reman?

      @@NutsandBoltswithTone I was able to get the rear turbo out without pulling the subframe or passenger axle. It was a little tight, but definitely doable. Ours had failed due to clogged screens in the banjo connection in the oil feed lines. The customer has been using cheap oil filters on long intervals.

    I changed both my turbos on my ecoboost mkt & it’s smoking now & leaking oil. Mechanic said the turbos are no good it’s letting oil slip through the seals & into my exhaust. No way turbos just go bad like dat & if so maybe that’s now the old one got messed up, which meaning to me there’s blockage in the crank case pcv system.

    Hey man! Great video! I was wondering, how much wiggle room do you think is up there for bigger turbos? Currently in the process of pushing the boundaries of these 3.5L EBs, next step is upgrading the turbos. Currently at 399 horsepower to the wheels (Really upset I can't say 400).

    • @NutsandBoltswithTone

      I am not sure what you are asking me. I think you are asking if you can put a turbo on a non turbo engine, if that is what you are asking then the answer is you would need to do quite a bit to make this happen, computer reprogramming or replacement. You would need to bring your vehicle into a repair facility that can do that kind of work. If you are asking me something different then shoot me a message on my Instagram. Thanks for watching.
