Picked up a MAMACOO's watch as my first watch last month and I’m absolutely in love with it. Perfect size, looks elegant, very comfortable. Now my only problem is holding off from buying more watches so quickly!
The camera doesn't show how truly beautiful the watch is...tho..few things i feel could have been better..i wish it had a sapphire crystal so u dont have to worry about damaging the glass..second i wish the Lume was brighter....and 3rd IMHO i need a a day and date ..i need to know what day and date it is without pulling out my phone, it makes life more easier...but the watch insanely beautiful for what it is..the dial is super duper memorizing..it looks like jade and sparkles like jewelry
@@nuhuh9893 Thanks! Usually if a mechanical watch stands near a magnet should’t be that much of a problem, but in my case, my laptop features a really strong magnet inside and sometimes it picks up even my keys from a distance. That kind of magnetism I would magnetise the watch. Otherwise, it will be safe. Cheers!
I just got into watch collecting. I've loved watches since I was young but I never had anyone teach me or bring deeper into the world. MAMACOO brought closer to a community and hobby I always wanted to get into more and that is incredibly meaningful to me !
3:05 the brushing orientation of the lug tops doesn't match the end links so on the wrist you will almost always perceive unmatched tones of metal. A real shame and a common pet hate of mine. Thanks for the video though - very helpful.
@@craiggreeson2614 You have got to be joking. It is a incredibly clear when you wear the watch as light reflects off the brushed finish differently. It's the photos on the manufactures sites that are disingenuous as they apply lighting and filters to make it look uniform.
It's a beautiful watch, but in my experience those VH31 movements eat batteries. I have a couple and in a large collection, might get 6 or 7 wears before I find a dead watch. I have a Newmark 52 on my desk awaiting a battery as I type. Very, very frustrating. Give me a Miyota/SII basic quartz or an 8215 and I'd be much happier.

Dank je! Ik ben blij dat je het leuk vond. I am pretty sure that in a few years we will have Chinese watch manufacturers that will take over the manufacturing process of making watches.

I don't know what kind of toxic chemicals or metals they'd be able to use in a watch? I guess you could have an allergic reaction to the stainless steel, but if that's a concern for you, then you shouldn't be buying watches online anyway.
The case is 316L stainless steel and on paper should’t raise any concern. Other than that, it features the same parts that you see on other big brands.
The brand name Addiesdive is ridiculous and self-limiting. You look at a brand name like that, you think they are only making diver watches. They should have just shortened it to Addies. That's my only complaint about this timepiece. These Chinese homage brands are really offering impressive products at affordable prices. They are democratizing quality timepieces, making them accessible to almost everyone. I hope they continue to up their game and eventually give the established brands, Swiss, Japanese or otherwise, a tough run for their money.
imo the price is not undervalued. There is no sapphire crystal and its a qwartz movement. You can find some addiesdive with nh35 ar coating saphir for $50 like AD2118
@@WristSagaMay I ask how similar are the German and Dutch languages? I assume they'd be so given that one is called Deutsch and the other is Dutch, sounds similar
@@JellocNot OP, but I am Dutch. German vs Dutch is like Spanish vs Italian. So we learn each other's languages quite easily. The languages are related, but not the same. In fact there's a continuum of Germanic dialects in Belgium, the Netherlands, and Germany. I live in the Netherlands close to the German border, the dialects on both sides of the border were, originally, very similar. The point is that the official language of Germany, German, was influenced strongly by the dialects from the south of Germany. does the bracelet rattle on your wrist though? something I'm very skeptical about these budget watches.
