I've always felt this song from Aida is underrated. In fact, it is my favorite from the show. Both these young people perform it beautifully.
Oh my god, Mereb took my breath away almost literally. I was tearing up by the end of the song. What a beautiful voice!
I have never been so impressed with a group of young people! I love this theatre program. This young man is gonna be a big star if he wishes.
Mereb is amazing! He should have played radames! So much more expressive than the actor who plays radames!

Ok so the more i watch this clip the more i like Aida's acting and vocals. She's so young so she will only get better. Very pretty too. Also i love the slowed down tempo of the song. I played Mareb in a professional production in NJ back in 2009 and the pace to the song was more uptempo. This tempo allows for more discovery and dramatic tension. Well done...

Marla, thanks for your question. Gregorio Umana is featured in this video. He also performed in King's productions of "The Sound of Music," "Jekyll & Hyde," "Titanic," "The Light in the Piazza," and "A Christmas Carol."
The character's name is Mereb he's a servant to radamase
Gregorio should have been the lead for sure! Better actor better vocal skill.
He's also in the productions "Wicked" and "Breakfast at Tiffany's", and he'll be reprising his role as Jekyll and Hyde this year 😄😄😄
