And thats how it pays off all the dreaming all the effort to see that rod about go in the river and that weight in your finger tips that feeling this is big! This is big! So glad you caught it on camera. TH-cam the rightway takes alot more effort than most understand. Your doing it right. Congrats B
Those stupid grippers are gonna make you lose the fish! Just grab the thing,,like you finally did. Nobody used grippers for the previous 5000 years, and it was life or death for some of them!
Awesome video brother! That beaver reminds me of fishing alone at night and thought someone was tossing m-80's on the water because it was smacking it's tail trying to scare me off lol. Awesome catch, congratulations
Siiiiiiiick! Bro, freaking sweet! Man, no one more deserving! So stoked for you. That was awesome! Man, I lost it when you go "what am I supposed to do with that?" Man, I'm supposed to go fish the river early tomorrow morning but now I'm not going to be able to sleep I'm so stoked. Just awesome man!
Man you are doing the same thing I am! Trying to find spots on the Missouri River to fish. I been up in Leavenworth and Atchison with no luck yet finding a good productive spot. Congrats on that big blue tho!!!!!
Funny with the beaver! Sorry I'm late to the party bro. Still playing catchup. Shaking on that fish.,...that's what its about dude!!! Congrats on that 34lber!!!! Heck yeah man!!
I've been a Smithville lake and little platte fisher my whole life. My wife and I are going cat fishing on the Mo in St Joseph this weekend! Got four spots mapped out. First time. Loved the video subscribed! I'll be watching bubba! Wish us luck!
I hope Smithville was fruitfull! I gotta get one of your decals for my ride! Looking forward to watching you! If you ever want a buddy to go out with(I'm sure you hear that all the time) let me know.
You were saying how much your hands were shaking.......I was watching jimmy Houston one day and he was trying to get a hook out of a big bass and his hands were shaking really bad and he said, once that goes away I'll stop fishing. Nice catch bro
.Fishing is also my hobby, especially when I catch fish, this is a great trip, I'm from Vietnam, nice to make friends, hope you don't refuse, thanks, best wishes you succeed
I hear you my man. I have never caught a fish that big. So don’t listen to me. Lol. I’m just starting out. Out here in Las Vegas. Fishing lake mead, ponds, Colorado river. I like your channel bro. 👍🏼 Would love to get one of your stickers. Thanks brother. Keep up the work
Hey Nice Blue Cat...there is Something Special about hooking a MONSTER BLUE CAT OR FLATHEAD...From the Bank...sounds like I literally heard your heart beat thumping.. Hang'em High and Keep the Line Tight...👍🏽
Happy Holidays my friend and thank you for your service. Lake wise you can't beat your area. Melvern and or Milford. Tuttle creek outlet area is pretty good. River wise haven't fished up that far but I just start with access areas like boat ramps or walking trails and find spots.
I use the Carolina rig mostly or the Santee with the peg float. Throwing 4 or 5oz sinkers. Flat Bank Sinkers are my favorite. Sometimes not alot you can do with the current just gotta look for a good spot and go for it !
FYI you can stick your hand in their mouth and grab their lower jaw rather than screw with the grippers. Just hold on tight in case they start to flip around.
Funny how at the end you're all "Well, I guess I can just go home now!" like that's the biggest you could possibly catch out there... People catch them over twice that size in that water bro! Damn nice fish, but seriously, keep fishing! You can beat that!!
Agreed my Friend. I was just rambling at that point lol. Biggest Fish I've caught so far so was pretty Happy. I'm still chasing them every chance I get 👍

Don't be shy to carry a net. Even a 6 inch handle net can at least control the fish so you can get it with the fish-grippers. Good video!
Thanks Andrew! I keep trying to take less stuff but always end up taking more. A net should be one lol
Epic watch dude. You should do some Missouri river fishing videos 💯

you're lucky to have such rivers , here in morocco we are fishig the most at atlantic ocean were the tides are little bit high
That doesn't sound to bad. I've only fished in the ocean twice so far and caught 1 fish.
@@TheKCFishPage unlike rivers , for the ocean you must carefully chose the timing to have good results , but salt water fish are the best 😋😋😋

How much weight you using? Heaviest I have (that I can find) are 5oz disc sinkers. Think those will suffice in spots like these?
Heaviest I use are 4 or 5oz Flat Bank Sinkers. They work pretty well but sometimes no weight is a match for that current.
