My teen and tween boys loved going on dcl. They loved the clubs and also having the freedom to check out, and get the free ice cream before heading back to the room.
My kid has “grown” up going to both Disney world & taking Disney cruises.Loves everything Disney, always loved the kid clubs on DCL.We tried Royal when he was 9 and he preferred Royal for a while.Went back on Disney when he was 13 and again recently at 14 and now prefers DCL again.He is starting to appreciate all the details on DCL,prefers the teen clubs,the activities and all that. I love these new topics. I’ve never taken cruise and my kids are older. I think they would enjoy it. I’m hoping to eventually take a disney cruise.The ships look amazing .
My teen prefers DCL to the parks. Some otherlines offer more for teens, but a lot of times, there is extra cost and those activities are not included. I do think Disney continues to drop the ball with the teen and tween club theming. They put so much into imageneering the kids clubs and providing fun interactive elements. Sure teens want a hang out space and to play video games, but teens enjoy immersive experiences too. They literally put animatronic Sta Wars baby animals in the kids club and some seating in the teen club. Once the excitment of agining up into that space wears off the club just serves as a meet up space
