      Why is it green when the seller at 2.34 is selling? shouldn’t it be red

      I noticed that you didn't use IBKR 'times and sales' to illustrate the hidden seller. Is the IBKR times and sales not good enough?

    Great videos and nice video to demonstrate your point. If you could make a series just on the different types of situations that shows up on the tape like you did this one, I think it would be popular. Most other "reading the tape" don't really show how to read the tape except describing what different parts of the tapes are.

    Thanks for the video. I have one question though about the hidden seller section. If more buyers are getting in at the Ask which is the hidden seller's price, shouldn't that increase the price rather than lower it? Since these are green in Time and Sales?

    • @master_the_market
      @master_the_market  4 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      It would increase the price only if the price is able to break through the price level that the hidden seller is located! It often takes too much buying to break through a major hidden seller, so many times there isn't enough demand to keep pushing it up afterwards.

    Can you explain the colors (red vs white) on the time & sales? Green prints on time & sale mean the order was executed on the ask but why did that drop the stock price down? Doesn't green prints mean there is buying pressure as there are buyer hitting the ask which should drive the stock price up as there is more buyer?

    First off great video. I’m trying to become a better scalper and this helps. So if there’s a lot of orders at the ask that indicates sellers and if a lot of orders are at the bid that indicates buyers?

    • @master_the_market

    6:38 but this order not budging from the ask ...doesn't that mean price about to go up instead? by my understanding Ask( means BUYing) if the price were about to drop wouldn't that order be on the Bid (SElling ) side instead? Thanks for the informative videos! 😎👍

    • @master_the_market
      @master_the_market  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      No you have them switched up! The asks on level 2 are the sellers and the bids are the buyers. An order on the ask not budging means the buyers are unable to push through the ask (sellers), which can signal a price drop.

    if you see a large bid order (3ook shares) on the left side (buying section) on type2 screen, but not able to find it on the time & sales record. what does that mean? i assume some one with big money played it to accumulate but not sure.

  • @diegoforest

    I may be over simplifying, but If I see orders flying say at $2.54 on the tape and don't see it jiving with level II size. get out if long? I am trying to figure out how to forecast those huge red flushes that kill me. I have learned if the momentum slows to a stop, to get out. This maybe why it happens? Thanks for the vid. It was very helpful.

    With the hidden sellers, what is the purpose of this? I always assumed it was dilution of shares. As well, I notice that many of my bids or asks also don't show up at times. Today for example, I had almost 1 million shares on an OTC stock and it did not show up on the bid and was significant amount with regards to the other bids being shown.
