A *lot* of beginner mistakes were made in this one. Which is fair, of course, considering your status. That being said, some recommendations: - If at all possible, have someone carry you through story. It's very important to have all of story done for a myriad of reasons, and a high-leveled player could pretty easily get you through it. - Try to get Shining Star Idol. She's the easiest MR to craft, and meta all the way up to end-game. You need a crit unit for her stage, but you need crits in general for Metal Rush which you'll be running a lot since it's the only good way to grind money. - Remember to level your units. The difference between a level 1 and level 30 is so big as to be indescribable. - If something seems unrealistic for you to get, don't try. The gaps between mid, late, and end game are *massive* so you shouldn't try anything you can't feasibly do until you hit the next stage. - Always have a hill unit on your team. You need them to hit flying units. - Two decently common units you should really focus on getting are Denji and Nanami. They're the best farms and crits in the game respectively, so getting them should be pretty high priority along with Shining Star Idol. - Build your team around your leader buff. Most good units buff a category if they're in your first unit slot - for example your Beelzebub buffing characters in the Genius category with +95% ATK and -20% cost. These buffs are good enough that you basically *have* to compose your team around whatever category your first unit buffs - buffers and farms excluded. - Elements matter. You should always try to have the type advantage of a stage you go in to, and *never* run a stage where your current heavy-hitters have a type disadvantage. - You shouldn't look to tier lists to find what units you should get until level ~100. You're realistically not going to be able to farm the evolution materials needed for strong characters before that point. - Never underestimate bosses. Plenty of them have gimmicks that can completely change the battle. Even if you're sweeping a stage, you have to remember if it's a boss that will wipe all your units after taking a certain damage amount or something. - If you get a unit with a manual ability and activate Auto Ability, you have to manually use the ability once before the Auto Ability will work. - There's many secrets in the game. If you find something odd, you should probably explore it - chances are it's intentional and might give you a good reward.

Jump forceforce music so nostalgic
Btw you only need food when playing in Insane mode bht there are also units that auto feed everyone so you don't have to buy food.
