- Trying out 3XL stiletto/almond nails. Not sure if I like the shape yet lol but I'll probably do them again. I have been seeing these charm nails everywhere and had to try them out.

They don't have the Morovan gel polish in stock but I will link it anyway, I found a cat eye version also for $3.99.

Hi sis💖💖
Heyy💖
Stiletto shapes have straight sides. Almond/long almond have curved (any degree of curve), not straight, sides. Because the sides of almonds are difficult to get 'even' side to side and nail to nail, it is considered one of the more difficult nail shapes to create from scratch.
People seem to confuse ballerina and coffin shapes: They are not the same. Coffin shapes have straight sides with the distal end lopped off to make the 'coffin' shaped sides straight. Ballerina shapes are actually a lopped off almond. You will see people call straight-sided, lopped off ended nails "ballerina" because they likely don't want to call them "coffins".
Further, the "pointy" aspect has nothing to do with the sides themselves, but the narrower the overall free edge, the 'pointier' you will get the very distal tip.
Of course, you know that I think the pointier shape (as long as it is reasonably long, not too short) is the most flattering on most finger/hand types because it lengthens/slenders the optics of the nail.
Duck nail shape is not a shape that exists in nature (unless you're a duck) or mistakenly applying acrylic/gel/polygel/etc. flat and wide instead of c-curved. Unless the underlying duck nail structure is arched/c-curved despite the 'flat' wide effect, the nail will be inherently weak as well as bizarre-looking due to it not being a natural human shape.
At any rate, you have beautifully shaped nails/fingers and hands and I believe nearly any shape flatters you, so you just wear what makes you happy! 😍🥰😘💖
Thank you for explaining the difference, I was confused trying to figure it out when I was doing the set 😆 I think I may try the pointier shape next. Duck shape is quite bizarre but I think they’re growing on me 😭 thank you again 💚🥰
