Pranams Brother.Thank you for such an enriched scientific analysis on introspection as spiritual tool, with spl reference to Gita stances. The analogy and psychological reference background shows how deep and scientific our Gurujis teachings are. I listened many times to the talk, as it aids in opening up new unfound areas for practising introspection. Its a beautiful session explaining how to introspect step by step to get verifiable spiritual benefits of joy, core values, peace, devotion to God, etc. Jai Guru.

    Jai Guru!
Every day we do introspect on things that went on during the day. But what real introspection is to tear our ego into pieces and reflect upon ourselves in being truthful to ourselves.
What a deep insight and lesson on introspection. Great life time learning to imbibe and practise🙏

Introspection is such a dichotomy to me. I've always had questions about introspection and this series had helped me phenomenally to want to delve deeper into self introspection.

I remember being very reluctant about introducing that practice in my sadhana, but what I realized when I decided to commit to introspection is that there was so much positive things going on in my daily life that it really gave me a lot of extra motivation to deal with the things I didn't like in my introspection. A real deep motivation to do better next day that I didn't have before I started to introspect every night. Jai Guru!

Thank you for this awesome, super comprehensive talk on introspection. The neuroscience, of how the various areas of the brain respond to uncertainty is so great for self awareness and awareness of others reactions. I am looking forward to implementing the 3 step process that you shared, Bro Govindananda; 1) Kriya at night 2) Meditate 3) Introspect. While self honesty does seem to be an acquired taste, with the support of Gurudev and the teachings, introspection has become an exhilirating practice, full of surprises!

Thank you Brother for the outstanding talk. Introspection is indeed very important for a "SADHAK" and the right time to introspect is after meditation when we are fully in tune with Master and soul consciousness and are receptive to make changes in our life under the guidance of our beloved Guru. Jai Guru !!

Thank you Brother Govindanandaji, this was a very practical talk that helps to understand and have the right attitude towards introspection, so we can behave as souls ought to. I need to make sure that I more regularly introspect and do spiritual study after meditating at night, as well as on weekends, when I have even more time to go deeper in meditation and then introspect and study more deeply. And detach myself from my errors, even using my smart phone camera to look at myself when I do something that goes against my conscience and Master's teachings!

      Someone sent this to me:
*From Br. Govindanandaji’s talk on Introspection for Complete Victory:*
In his talk brother had dwelled at length on character flaws and soul qualities of character from the book “*Flawless” by Dr. Louis Tartaglia.* He had mentioned that this was covered in an SRF magazine too.
In his psychiatric practice, Dr. Tartaglia had found, that there are ten common character flaws in people and seven divine soul characteristics. It is good to introspect and find our flaws but not to dwell too much on them, as Guruji says. Instead focus on developing the divine soul qualities.
      *_Ten most common character flaws:_*
      1. Addicted to being right.
      2. Raging indignation- gives us sense of energy.
      3. Fixing blame and nurturing resentment.
      4. Worry and Fear
      5. Intolerance
      6. Poor me
      7. Self regard run riot
      8. Excuse for everything
      9. Hypercritical fault finding
      10. Chronic dishonesty
      _*Seven Soul Characteristics_ *
      1. *Surrender* - Mark of Greatness
      2. *Honesty* - Mark of Realisation
      3. *Forgiveness* - Mark of Humility
      4. *Confidence* - Mark of Faith
      5. *Tolerance* - Mark of Perfection
      6. *Peacefulness* - Mark of Wisdom
      7. *Selfless Service *- Mark of Love
“_When you are willing to change your character flaws - First they lose their attraction, then they get pulled by the grace of God.”_
“All it requires is a certain kind of humility.”

Im going to try and remember to hold up an imaginary mirror when I catch myself because at work a real mirror could be a conversation piece! I try and introspect throughout the day whenever I remember. Good visualization practice as well. Thank you.

On a funny note. I have a degree in Psychology, as part of our training in South America we were required to have a number of hours of psychotherapy ourselves. Many students called the therapy sessions: "the voluntary suffering we even pay for". But yes it brings good fruits. :)

Somewhere in one of Daya Mata's writings, she wrote that the need to be right is a great roadblock/obstacle in the spiritual path. Since I read that, I have not been able to locate it again. LOL I have this great need to be right about that statement. LOL
