- All-Ireland winners Paul Murphy and James Skehill joined Will O'Callaghan to review a game for the ages between Cork and Limerick in the Munster Hurling Championship with the Rebels keeping their summer alive with a victory against the reigning All-Ireland champions in a thriller on Leeside.
The surprises continued in the Leinster Championship, with Carlow earning a draw against their neighbours Kilkenny with a late free from Marty Kavanagh. While Dublin continued their unbeaten start with a comprehensive defeat of Antrim at Parnell Park.
The Hurling Pod is with thanks to Bord Gais Energy, proud sponsors of the All-Ireland Senior Hurling Championship. - กีฬา
The pitch was invaded because Cork had just won a game that was gone two minutes earlier and because it was against Limerick, it was a scene of pure joy and relief , it was in the moment, it was brilliant, let the players enjoy it , that is what all the training is for , days like that ,
Like clare last year jumping around
Paul Murphy is absolutely terriffic to listen to. Really knows his stuff and so interesting to listen to.
Did cork win 😊😅😂great game great players on both sides best game of hurling in long time well done to everyone on that pitch 👏 👍
Well done james skethill on farming and kids 😅😅
Another brilliant show lads, great to clarify the Puck Out and black card penalty rule.
The Cork v Tipp game in Thurles is another huge game to look forward to, I’m wondering will Cork have anything left in the tank the way they had to empty it to beat Limerick.
Great win for the Dublin U20s. Gave Galway a nice beating. Not to worry Skehill boy there's always next year.
Great effort from cork fair play to them. They didn't fold right at the end. Well done a pity.Such a great game wasn't seen by more people shame on R.T.E.. Limerick will be back. The family's invading the pitch was a little bit embarrassing. But they had just beat the greatest hurling team ever.So I suppose we must forgive them.
The attempted censoring of Skehill was well received 3:11 🤣
As a listener in California, I would ask that they try to focus more on this "farming" thing. Bad enough that they cut the Father Ted segments.
Bring back Dad Cast and have Skehill on 💪
As Corkman, that rule needs to go, its away too subjective, the rule needs to be clear and obvious goal chance
Will ya go away outa dat
It was desperation stuff from cork at the end, it was do or die dont forget
Genuine question from a Limerick fan, where does the zone for penalty /free start and end? It’s completely arbitrary. On the night given the circumstances no one really complained but if it was to decide All Ireland you’d be furious.
Is Skehill worried about Galway in the next few years. U20s have been very disappointing the last few years and the last night was very worrying v Dublin. 5 minor all Irelands in 6 years, got a good few out of 2015 crew but the 4 in a row has proven very disappointing. 2011 was the last time I felt this worried but at least then it was just the seniors underperforming or not being good enough that was the worry. This year it’s been nearly the whole lot.
You rarely see a keeper stay in the 6 yard square for a puck out
It was Brian Hayes got that last point lads ! 🙄
The penalty aside, there were lots of examples of forwards running down the middle being brought to ground before a goal scoring opportunity arose
Amazing game management by Limerick to kill the speed of the game and take control. They smothered Cork for 20 mins and played the game on their terms at that stage. Cork were out of options and ideas as the game ended but got really lucky. If Limerick put 70 mins of that controlled game together, God help everyone
Cork, really lucky? Our keeper and defence gifted ye two goals. Cork should have won by 7 or 8.
Glad to see Kyle Hayes brought his night club best moves to the hurling field
Why do I not get it
Thurles is home to Cork

Good man Skehill. Bit of a temper on ya there asking meself and other listener to tune out because we don't like farming. Guess what? I wont be tuning out because i'm here for the hurling.
What does Skehill and snooker player Dave Gilbert have in common? Gilbert's nickname is the 'Angry Farmer'. Pretty apt for you too lad 😄
Limerick got a penalty against Cork in last year championship for Gillane grabbing Cadogans hurley , going on to win by 1 point
Limerick puck out was not as fast against Galway last year it was about 5 minutes
Why didn't the umpires heve a word with the ref about kian lynch's Jersey being constantly pulled, oh wait, the umpires were cork men.
Jersey pulling rarely gets called out by referees or umpires. Whether it's Cian Lynch or not. Happens loads of times in every game.
LOL. The umpires were from Dublin and Lynch was playing out the filed, not standing in the square all the time.James Owens gave Limerick 3 goals last year in Gaelic Grounds v Cork, none of which should have stood.
As a passionate Cork supporter I think the penalty decision was ridiculous and I also predict Limerick will win the AI.
Don't think you're a cork supporter
@@stephenkelleher8397either way he’s right about Limerick going on to win.
Injuries permitting.
@@ClannCholmain at this point it is a prediction so I don't think we can say it is right. And injuries may not permit..
I'm a limerick supporter and I see cork and clare being every bit as good as limerick and I'm glad..a battle is better than a walk over
I think Limerick will come up short on their drive for five this year. In All Ireland semi or final. I would like to see them do it but thats just my gut feeling.
I think they will struggle to win Munster as well if they get into the top two
@@Castlelong333 Yea if they beat Waterford and you'd have to think they would at home it all deoends on who they will meet in a Munster final. Probably Clare again that would be tasty. If Limericks hunger and desire drops even 5% they're in trouble. Throw in Casey's injury and other players with niggles and the savage pressure that going for 5 in a row will bring it's going to be tough for them to get it done.
@@dublinsfaircity They have it in them anyway that's for sure.
@@dublinsfaircitythe injuries could beat them
Limerick would have learnt a lot in that Cork game. Remember there was no jeopardy for limerick, cork were playing for their lives. Mote impressed now with limerick after that
No need for the bad language in every episode James Skehill, not funny and doesn't add anything to your analysis.
Ye it does
I'm out. Can't stand this pod anymore.
Why?
