All 5 Korean members actually made history by all serving together. U is the only one who didn't, because he is Japanese. And E-tion is pronounced like "E-shun" because it's short for Lee Changyoon Sensation lol.
Unfortunately, the adorable one with the smile is the member that had to leave.

I can’t wait for you to check out their latest comeback ”bye my monster” if you haven’t already. The song was very popular even among non-fans and gave them their first win since millitary which only a handful of boygroups have been able to achieve so far.
The korean members all enlisted together which was the first for a boygroup. (U/Yuto is japanese so he didn’t go).
If you want to learn their names and faces I suggest watching a guide (although it’s hard to find one that’s not outdated). They also have a song called “my name is” that is basically them introducing themselves through inside jokes.
They are a really special group and so interesting to watch bc they always do something different with every comeback, but bc they have the same producer it still feels like they have a consistent sound and vibe regardless of genre. All the boys are also extremely talented, funny and sweet to the point where it’s impossible not to love them.
I’ll stop rambling now before this turns into an essay but thank you for reacting to them!💕

Yesssss! ONF = musicality to me! My favourite band! Their sound is so unique! They've kept their own identity without wanting to follow all the trends. That's mainly because they've always worked with the same team of producers (Hwang Hyun🙏). I'm super happy you're checking them out and can't wait for more reactions to them! 😍
To add from other comments, they performed on Road to Kingdom and did a great job showing what they can do. All the perfomances were great but my favs were the joint one with Pentagon where they covered Blackpink's Kill this Love as well as their verson of We Must Love. The latest comeback is so beautiful and I can't believe they will come to my town on tour so I must go. Also their lightstick is one of the most beautiful

E-Tion’s stage name is short for Lee Changyun Sensation. So the ‘Tion’ is said like the end of how sensation is pronounced.
U is Japanese so he doesn’t have a military service term, so the group is fully done with military hiatuses.
As others have already said, Laun (the cutie you kept pointing out ;-;) is their former maknae that decided he didn’t want to continue as an idol. Last I heard he was taking culinary lessons. He’s still close with the group and visited them along with U when the hyungs were performing during that military event that they went a bit viral from.
I absolutely ADORE them. Their music is so so good! I've been a lowkey Fuse since "Complete" dropped, but recently did a deep dive of their entire discography. They have no skips. Their theorized lore is really fascinating and a bit difficult to explain but basically...
There were human versions of ONF and android versions created by an unknown group. Due to an event in a much further MV, some of the androids were given the memories of ONF (shown in "ON/OFF" MV) and they acted as normal humans before going out into the world to play as their human counterparts had done (shown in "Complete" MV). "We Must Love" was Laun's final appearance in their lore and the MV even shows that he's gone missing, so the members searched for him everywhere only for Hyojin to find him in Vietnam and realize that his memory had been wiped. This is when their mission begins.
In "Why", the members are searching the world for a key to open Pandora's Box (that's what I call it but idk what it's real name is), but they are also being hunted by the organization who made them as well as evil versions of one another. Minkyun (formerly called MK) is a hacker in their story, so his members managed to get the key to him and he unlocked the box. Not sure if it was to fix the world (bc of the falling asteroids in their MVs) or to stop the organization chasing them, but opening the box has consequences that are clearly shown in their other MVs.
In a much further songs called "Love Effect" and "Popping", you see flashes of their other MVs and the songs even have lyrics that mention other songs like "Goosebumps" and the bambambambambam part from "Beautiful Beautiful" being in the lyrics of "Love Effect". Everything is connected and every theory is just speculation, of course.
onf is one of those groups with a unique sound that just snuck up on me! sooo many interesting b-sides like Happily Never After!
I'm surprised no one said watch my name is first since they do mini intros of themselves in that mv😂😂
If you are planning to do another MVs marathon, I suggest doing "Beautiful Beautiful", "Ugly Dance", "Popping", and "Goosebumps"! ONF released all of them in one year (2021) before doing a full-group enlistment in late 2021. I became a huge supporter of them in 2021 because of how insanely diverse and unique those 4 songs sound.

Next I would recommend: New World performance video, Sukhimvit Swimming MV, My Name Is MV, and Beautiful Beautiful MV (listed in order of video release).
Sukhimvit Swimming and Beautiful Beautiful are title track MVs; BeauBeau will probably be familiar because Song Hanbin performed it for his Boy’s Planet audition and BDC performed it on Peak Time.
‘New World’ is their finale song from Road to Kingdom and ‘My Name Is…’ is a b-side from BeauBeau era that is also an introduction to the members.

Thanks for this reaction. Their discography showcases a variety of styles, but all of their songs have a distinct ONF sound that I appreciate. In addition to their music, the group’s endearing qualities make me want to support them more. Their latest song (Bye My Monster) is my favorite, so I hope you will eventually react to that MV. 😊
Sadly the cute one you pointed out is Laun the former member. He left after We Must Love so Why he wasnt in the MV but there were only a few quick shots of them as 6 so easy to miss. There is a performance MV of Why as well. They work with a great producer Hwang Hyun and others from Monotree but overall he works as their main producer. Saw them earlier this year in Canada, they are such amazing performers and funny guys. Hope if you get to like them more, they are going on tour in North America again in August.
Ah, I knew I would tear up watching these m/vs again 🥲 I just love the ONF sound, all of their title tracks are hits, be it the older or the newer ones. "Why" might be one of my ultimate favorites in all of Kpop.
To be honest, even though it's been quite a while I'm still not over Laun's departure, so the first three do have a special place in my heart ❤
ONF is one of those groups for me, where I actually love their b-sides more than their title tracks. I have sooo many b-sides on my playlist. You should also check out My Name Is b/c it's a song and mv that introduces all the members! It's a lot of fun. I'm waiting for you to get to Beautiful Beautiful and Moscow Moscow lol. Oh and Seungjun is my bias.

We Must Love is one of my all time fav kpop songs. Many idols named it as their fav song which is very understandable, it's a masterpiece.

Why has the best MV I have ever seen in kpop. The song is also very special, don't think anyone can sing it like them. The one thing I love about ONF is that their voices are also their salient musical instrument to their music. Nobody can cover their songs exactly like them because of their voices. This is an MV that you can watch several times without getting tired of it. The emotions in this song is simply wonderful....PAIN so good!! lol

I was watching your reaction to ZB1's latest comeback and this ONF reaction was being recommended to me. It made me really happy to see someone react to them for the first time, especially by checking out several songs at once.
I've been following them since pre-debut, because I'm also a BANA (B1A4 fan), and their company, WM Entertainment used to only have B1A4 for a good while, then they debuted Oh My Girl, then ONF. I ended up becoming a fan of all of them, they're just really special to me. Because I've known them since before they got their stage names, I never got used to them, so I still call them by their real names (and I think a good portion of the fandom does too, so don't be confused).
19:15 You got the red hair guy right, that's Hyojin, the main vocal and leader of the ON team. The second one, with the big eyes and infectious smile that reminds you of Xiumin is Laun / Minseok, the former maknae who unfortunately left the group in 2019 (he was my bias, and the announcement of his departure was so sudden... I remember how sad I was). Minkyun (formerly known by the stage name MK) is actually the one with the really bright, fresh voice that you noticed at some points, like at 10:41. And you got Wyatt / Jaeyoung right, the main rapper with the deep voice.
Honestly, you're so right about their voices, they're all amazing. It's crazy how talented ONF is: they can all REALLY sing, and dance extremely well (you should check out more of U / Yuto's dance, our main dancer, he's crazy). I would argue that pretty much all of them can rap too. Oh, to see an example of them singing completely live, you should watch their recent encore ("ONF, THE SHOW CHOICE! [THE SHOW 240416]" here on youtube). They absolutely killed it!
Oh, and to explain the ON and OFF teams, here's how Laun explained it: “The ON team have a bright image with emotional vocals as their key point. The OFF team have a charismatic image with a focus on strong dance performance.” By charismatic, I think Koreans mean darker or sexier. Also, Laun used to be kind of the center of the group, and the one who could switch between the ON and the OFF vibes.
I also just wanted to mention that, on top of being extremely talented, and having an amazing discography, the ONF members are also the sweetest. Everyone who has interacted with them has nothing but good things to say. Also, kpop fans can be... a bit difficult at times, but FUSE (ONF fans) are so nice and welcoming! I've never heard of any in-fandom wars, everyone just gets along, and FUSE are also super nice to other fandoms. The only times there has been trouble was when other fandoms decide to hate on ONF and/or FUSE for silly reasons, but FUSE are always really peaceful and just go the block and ignore route in those cases, usually. So if you wanna join the fandom, just know you'll have a safe space to enjoy kpop. Also, it's a great time to join the fandom, because, as you noticed in the guide, all the Korean members have already served in the military (the first group to do so all at the same time to just get it over with), so we don't have to worry about that anymore.

Im crying watching this seriously. I was really really into ONF before, since their debut until their doing military then i get married and all stop. I was one of lucky fans back then, meet them & interact with them actively. I miss them. And seeing people LOVED them n knows them like now im so proud & thankful. ONF is one of hidden gem in kpop. Please stan them. I wish i can meet them again & i will introduce my son to them 😢❤❤
I loved your reaction so much RJ. I am so happy you decided to check out ONF. The are one of my top ult groups. I am so happy you liked the songs you reacted to. I loved that the members went into the military together cause that way they can get out together too. U is Japanese so thats why he didnt go into the military. Though he did do the show Be Mbitious during the time the members were in the military. He also went back to Japan for a little while and had fun. I first checked them out late 2019 right after why came out and Laun also first stood out to me and I was sad that he had just left a few months prior. After they were on Road to Kingdom I ended up obsessed with them. I will be seeing them in concert in august in Atlanta. I will be getting a picture taken with my deep voice rapper Wyatt. I ult bias the whole group but Wyatt is my main ult bias. I think you will like the rest of their mvs. Also, if you ever check out their b-sides too i dont think you will be disappointed cause all of their songs are so good. Oh, WM entertainment has been around for while they have B1A4 who debuted in 2011 and OH MY GIRL who debuted in 2015. Fun fact I ult B1A4 as well so I ult two groups from WM lol. I dont have many people I can talk to about ONF so I am glad I can talk about them here lol. Oh and dont be too worried about not understanding the storyline. I am a huge fan and have seen the mvs so many times and still have zero clues about the storyline lol. Another fun fact my pfp on youtube is Wyatt. it's great to see an ONF reaction from you since i usually enjoy your reactions to groups i like and as for ONF, i still am on the fence/getting to know them. so this reaction 'series' will also help me give a second listen to songs i have listened but didn't vibe with so i could really decide. honestly their 'lore'/storyline/worldview thingy is one of the biggest factor that made it hard for me to get into the group, and maybe i also didn't vibe as much with their songs that i tried even though from watching Road to Kingdom i know they're a really solidly talented group (btw RTK is so awesome you're going to end up stanning at least one of the 7 groups if not more, though i didn't end up stanning the group i thought i would after their music style change after RTK n the one i decided to stan took a turn for the worse with crazy changes from their management n now disbanded). what i find interesting abt ONF is that they manage to squeezed in quite a number of their own songs into Road to Kingdom stages where groups don't have that many chances to perform their own song, but ONF n their producer somehow manage to mashup their songs into other songs so we get a good preview of their music from the show(the It's Raining stage is definitely a standout for me, n a genius piece of work overall from arrangement to conceptual). but after the show, when i did try some of their full songs i thought i would enjoy from the previews, strangely i was left feeling... indifferent? i guess they're just not very much my style musically(at least as far as title tracks go)...n the complication n edginess of their concept/lore/whatnot just..added to it. so i stopped trying...until recently during their latest comeback i heard all the hype around Bye My Monster and decided to check it out. now you mentioned in this video abt their music sounded nostalgic due to the time of release, but it's probably not just about current trend for group like ONF, since i'm sure Bye My Monster won't sound like any popular sound of today's mainstream kpop...thankfully. and because of Bye My Monster n just the album Beautiful Shadow, i ended up making a point to listen to as many past Bsides from them, bcuz i suddenly became positive i might find at least some songs i really like, i did find a few so far. and i even end up buying a bunch of ONF albums-even more than some groups i stan...which is..not normal>

Just quickly explanation on the two teams.
ON team (Hyojin, E-Tion and Minkyun) is the vocal team, OFF team (Seungjun, U, Wyatt) is the performance team.
Seungjun (J-US) and Minkyun (MK) have changes their stagenames only recently so you might see references to their old stage names (just to complicate things when you are trying to learn names 😂)
Oh and not sure if anyone mentioned it yet. Fandom name is:FUSE . ONF slogan is: 'Lights On' . Fandom often uses this 💡 emoji.
