yes thrifting is how i got my max mara cout for $40. it’s beautiful and will last me forever. i can even hand it down if i have kids. contrastingly my mom bought a $40 coat at Old Navy. Of course it doesn’t keep her warm and it will probably fall apart in a few years
A Max Mara coat for $40 - what a fabulous find!! That’s such a good example of how much further our budgets can reach in terms of garments of beautiful quality on the preloved market vs. fast fashion! 🙏
I love listening to your rambling, Amanda!! We all benefit from your tips for shopping pre-loved. Here in Canada, I sell and buy on Poshmark. This plat-form provides authentication for luxury items $600 or more. Do you sell on Vestiaire or just purchase?
Awe thank you, that’s so nice to hear!! That’s cool, I hear a lot of people on here talk about Poshmark but we don’t have that platform here in Sweden so I can’t really test it out - but it’s great to hear that it has an authentication service too! This far I’ve only purchased on Vestiaire, but I’m thinking of trying to sell some items through there too 😇
I’m glad to hear that you agree! The world is moving too fast and so does our shopping habits - here’s to slowing down and being more intentional about what we add to our wardrobes ✨
Oh I agree so very much with the sentiment we need to really think about our purchases before we do them. In an attempt to become a more conscious consumer. I’ve endeavoured to sell some of my items on Vinted. And my Lordy it’s a full time job! It’s exhausting! I really like your attitude towards buying, and that it has the be thought through. Honestly, trying to sell some of mine and the amount of effort and just indecent people trying to get really expensive items basically for free is just mind blowing. I’m really generous with my pricing too, 70% of retail, some times 80% and even then they want 50% off of the remainder 10-20%. It’s really taught me to love my things! Hahaha and not want to part with them, as it’s honestly a joke. And I worked hard for my items and what I spent on them. But yes, the re-sale market is brutal for sellers. And so I appreciate that you are very considerate in your approach. Not a lot of people are nowadays. Cheers to another great video Amanda! 😊
I’m glad to hear that I’m not alone with the sentiment of selling preloved clothing being a struggle..! Haha it really can be a full time job and indeed it is a good reminder for appreciating the items you’ve curated for your wardrobe! Thanks so much for your kind words 🤍
Happy Sunday beauties! Tell me about your fave items that you've bought preloved plssss 😍✨

I picked up a pair of Prada loafers that I love preloved.
Ooooh that sounds like an amazing find! Prada loafers are fabulous ✨
I agree, we all need a reality check in terms of waiting and planning for most purchases
