Beautifully narrated! I cried throughout! I 😂 My ex-wife and I were foster parents and we adopted a baby girl whom we cared for from birth. Mt ex passed from cancer. I met and “adopted” my current wife, a beautiful young mother from Tanzania, East African. I adored her 3 year old little girl and they became my new family. They gave me new purpose, just like Sheriff Tom in this story. I would adopt 50 needy kids if we could fit them in our home! 👍❤️

Years ago, we had a small child whose mom sent her to the US to visit Daddy. Mom skipped town in the UK. When the visit was over, the child couldn't go home because mom was gone. Child's visa expired. Dad couldn't get another one because the custodial mom and child were citizens of the UK and he was American. No one knew where Mom had gone. I called around and thankfully I found a lawyer who specialized in complex immigration problems. He took her case pro bono because she was just a little child. I never knew how it turned out, but I hope she grew up safe and loved. ❤
