Little Joe is the the real Tejano master. He's been around since the early 60's. He may be a lib, but his band kicks ass. Big progressive horn arrangements hit me in the heart. David Lee is one of the best accordion players I like. But he hasn't been able to keep his singers for very long. My favorites have been Ram Herrera, Emilio, and Marcos Orozco. I'm not too crazy about conjuntos. I get bored with them after a while. But big horn and great keyboard arrangements keep me going all night.
